Hi, this is my first time, I'm sorry if i'm not searching first. But this is a bit specific. I doubt i would find it,

I've been trying to AP since like 2 weeks. So far i doze off when the paralysis came. I have no idea what the vibration feels like. What i have experienced is like my body going gasseous or something similar. But no vibrating. In my understanding now vibrating is like a low frequency like shaking (like someone who got epilepsy?). since i read some book suggested about the rolling body I tried rolling once. But it's my physical body that is rolled. Lol. Tried mentally roll too, still can't. Maybe i missed something. So on to my question.

My question:
-Is it a physical roll (when paralyze kicked in) or mentally (visualize) roll when the time is right or imagine to continuously roll?
-since i have no idea what kind of vibration i should expect, can anybody give me some analogy so that i will know what kind of vibration that i'm expecting?

I think most of my failures is because i tried a lot of techniques at the same time not focussed. And i kinda tired. Even when i woke up after sleep, i still feel sleepy. But that's my problem. I should try to overcome it.  :-D

Your help is greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance  :-D

I've had the vibrations a few times...but never an OBE...

I would describe them as somewhat pulsating, metallic if that makes any sense at all, like an ocean of buzzing pinpoints of energy that encompasses your entire body...you may not be able to "feel" your body the last time I had mild vibrations I felt like my arm was missing. It's weird but you'll get used to it. They come in various strengths, mild, moderate, strong, etc. at least they do for me.

Good luck! I try and try but nothing yet...My next goal is to go OBE from a dream which I hear is advisable for newbies.

With the "rolling", you just imagine it, not actually do it. But it should be as real as possible in your imagination, to where you actually feel like you're rolling. I also like to "swing", like lying in a hammock.

I suggest not expecting vibrations at all. They don't happen to everyone and aren't necessary for an OBE. Instead of expecting to vibrate, expect to OBE. That will keep you focused on the goal, not on the steps preceding the goal.

However my experiences with vibes are different than aharris77. With me, there is no such thing as mild, moderate, strong, etc. Only hardcore, intense, Harley-Davidson engine, shake-you-out-of-your-boots vibrations. Imagine 2-stroke chainsaw engines attached to every limb. No light tingling, mild sensations. There is no mistaking them, they can be quite scary the first few times. An OBE without them is not only possible, but preferable.

Wow...Stookie that sounds intense. I didn't know you could OBE without them...cool....that gives me less to worry about. The swinging hammock visualization/sensation sounds interesting, I am going to try that.

After some energy raising and relaxing. I got some mild vibration last night. Can't remember much, And i feel like my physical body being pulled. But can't release. Whenever i think my body is being pulled i got stuck.  :-( I hope i could get used to "expecting" things. Since i thought that vibes was a signal, i tried rope climbing, rolling, floating, flying, asking for assistance until my mind says tired. I like to "think" and not focus. That's my problem  :-D. Then it slowed down. Until i lose it...again. But i don't give up my trance yet. :x I managed to get this vibration for the second time. But after that dream fragments coming in, tried to fought it to stay awake but i lost i think about 1 or 2 fragments then i don't remember anything after that....  ... i lost to dream probably because i didn't sleep a couple of hours at first. But at least it's an improvement on the vibrations.  :-P

aharris how long have you tried OBE? I read your other posts it's like years? Wow that long huh. I hope i could get it in a month.  :-P I guess we are at the same boat. Cool.  :-D

Stookie i never thought it could be like Harley Davidson vibration. It's loud like HD too?

One more question. It's about tingling. Is it muscle tingling? or is it like an electrical shock tingling?

Thanks for your replies

Some people report loud "wooshing" sounds, but I've never heard anything that seems related to the vibes.

As you attempt to astral project, your senses start to shut down, so your brain has less to interpret. It will sometimes fill in the void with hypnogogic sounds and pictures and tingly sensations. This tingling is not the vibes, just a sign that your body and brain is slowing down, and is on it's way to mind awake/body asleep mode. I actually think this is the hard part, because you're at the teetering point of staying too awake or falling asleep. And don't worry about vibrations at all, they aren't a necessary step. If they happen, you won't question it, you'll know.
