I had just the tripiest OBE or dream. I was in this weird room and my cousin was there. She has a moldavite I lent her. I thought that  this was just a dream. I told her dream charecter to COME HER NOW! I even said this is my dream I'm in control. She just laughed at me. Then I told her to call me when she wakes up. This was really weird. Why in the hell couldn't I control anything?

Well... were you properly lucid? it is possible to dream about being in a lucid dream, (What a mouthful... :D) from what I have read! ;)

On the other hand, has your cousin called you yet? if they do... :D
This world's Captain Falcon; A title I will pass down to a chosen one when I leave this dimension.

Yes I was. I was just confused why they weren't doing what I say. I even used firm wording to tell them what to do. She ignored me and said no. I tried lots of stuff after that it just didn't work.

Actually, that's one of the biggest misconceptions out there.

You can't dream about being in a lucid dream.  Why?
Because you're either aware that you're dreaming, or you're not aware that you're dreaming.

If you're aware, then it's (at least) a lucid dream.
If you're not aware, then it's a dream.

You can have a dream where you're talking about lucid dreaming and yet you're still not aware that you're dreaming.  That's a dream ABOUT lucid dreaming.  Not a dream about being in a lucid dream.

Just because we normally can control lucid dreams doesn't mean we ALWAYS can.  Just like I can normally control my skeletal muscles, but there are many many reasons which might prevent me from moving say my arm (fatigue, sleep paralysis, neurological, etc.).  All of these are internal (problems within my body) which keep me from controlling my normally controllable arm.  There could be any number of reason why you internally block yourself from controlling a lucid dream as well.

Or it could also be what Xanth said about it being a dream about lucid dreaming and not an actual lucid dream.  (level of awareness issue)
