LMAO
how surprising
take a look at this thread (it gets good around page 9) for the truth about mysticweb's bulls**t.
And welcome. I've only been here a few weeks myself, but I can see it's a great board. My favorite metaphysical forum by far.
I really love this forum and especially how open, friendly and responsible the members are ! Thank you ! I'll stick in there for a while if you don't mind...[:D]
Yeah, mysticweb was my first stop too. Fortunately I found this forum, which is a thousand times better. Everyone here is truly willing to jump at the first chance to help anyone. Thanks a lot guys!
Welcome Ya'll!!!
Yes this truly is the best forum! I too had found Mysticweb first and felt "something" was a miss..Kromeknight also felt this way before coming here and I am sure there are others. I am beginning to think that Mysticweb is almost a test of sorts for people to trust their instincts and to find their true path...[:D]
Nay. [;)]
This was the first forum that i have found, and i´m very happy, since it´s real good! My primary interest it was related to telekinesis, only then i noticed that there are OBE discussions too, and my intereste on that matter reborned.
About mysticweb i advise you to read a recent post named "Please help out" -or something like - posted by quiet_storm.
mystic web it seems more like a satanic place!
Namaste,
I became aware of the courses on mysticweb through doing a search on google, I was curious so I signed up for their astral projection course. I then went on to take part in their follow-up courses entitled 'searching within' and 'The journey to Enlightenment'.
I found some of the exercises to be quite useful but I was also suspicious of them as they seem very intent on teaching the reality of negative spirits, an inescapable hell, and that 'their' path as the ONLY true path that there is. They also have a habit of censoring posts that point out these contradictions on their forums.
In one of the weeks topics entitled 'the afterlife' they gave out an e-book, entitled 'yes there is a hell, yes there is a devil, and yes there is karma'
At this stage I went back and re-read Conversations with God book 3, an excellent book by Neale Donald Walch. I was astounded at how much the mysticweb site had tried condition my mind through my simple curiousity to learn how to lucid dream/astral project.
They seem to teach mainly a fear based theology. They made a sweeping statement that we only get 108 chances(reincarnations) to attain enlightenment and then we de-evolve to the lowest forms of life.
They also try to get you to stop all other forms of study and only concentrate on their teachings and warn of dependancy on various things whilst actually encouraging you to be dependant on them for 'a roadmap to heaven' and alchemical techniques. Also they have stated that only those who have removed 50% of their ego may be saved and other such madness.
As you may have guessed I remain unimpressed at their conditioning and fear based approach to enlightenment.
Please be careful!
Welcome aboard Phil Trance,
I hope you find what you're looking for here, as many have. This is a great place to discuss astral travel with like-minded souls who are eager to help or answer questions. I've been here about 2 or 3 years and can say without hesitation that this BB is the absolute best of it's kind on the web, though a few come close.
BTW, you won't find strong-arm Thought Police tactics here.
Peace
Hello peoples,
Sorry to have to do this, but in the interests of keeping things more or less civil between the AP and Mysticweb sites, I think it best to lock this thread so that this conversation can go no further.
Reason for this is Mysticweb have already tried to slap a lawsuit on the AP for members dissing them once before. Being a public forum, that's not really possible (you know, the usual "comments made by members do not necessarily reflect that of the administrators" and all that), but we'd rather not enrage the beast and tempt fate again.
Sorry again, hope you all understand.
Kind regards,
James.
Well, it looks as if I've finally found a great discussion board for open discussion of AP/OBEs.
At first I went to mysticweb.org but found that the moderators would instantly delete any messages that had to do with AP books other than the one they sell from their website. They also delete any postings with links to other courses online that would compete with their online course. Also, any mention of the IAC would immediately be deleted.
I'm sure this same problem won't happen here on Astral Pulse. It seems obvious that mysticweb's first concern is money and not teaching.
Well anyways, I look forward to many interesting discussions on here astralpulse in the future!
