My dad had a weird experience, maybe you can help

So my dad wakes me up at 12:30 in the morning, He seemed like he just saw a ghost. So I sit down with him and it takes me a while to get out of him what happend.

It turns out what happend was this, Hes laying there about to fall asleep, and he said it was like someone was talking THROUGH him, as in using his body as a medium. He seemed very sure whoever was talking was not talking to him. He said it was a woman, her first word was Hi in english, he couldn't understand anything else after that (didn't understand the language but the volume and clarity was as if they were infront of him). He said it didn't sound like it was coming from a external source, he was really freaked out about it, and  i'm 22 years old hes NEVER had something like this happen besides ONE OBE that he admitted to me way before i ever did research on the topic. Any ideas? Is it possible he was partially astral projecting and heard something (wich is my best guess). OR is it really possible someone had to use him as a medium to talk to someone else??? He said the person sounded happy they were talking to the other person, i really have no other information.

Any ideas???

Maybe the person was talking to a spirit still stuck on our Earthly Plane, or Real Time Zone.
Maybe they even once lived in your home, maybe you should research that.
