Natural OBE'S???

Some people are good at somethings, others have to practice. The same goes for everything, astral projection isn't special, its just not as well known as other things..

I think that the more you practice on something, the more it gets pulled into your subconscious mind.
So the more you do it, the better you get at it.
And after a while you dont need to focus on every little detail to get what you want.

These "naturals" are people who have had lives before where they have learned this, and their subconscious mind allready have the patterns installed for the person to use.
Its not that they are better or anything, its just that they have practiced more..in other lifetimes.

People like me however, needs to focus really much if we want to learn it. Because there are so much stuff around us that wants our attention, and we tend to go that way really easy if we dont focus enough.

Until you have it in your sobconscious, you really need to focus...really really focus on it.

I think that is a possibility. Another possibility is that, through a combination of a personallity with a lot of willpower and focus, and an astral body which is not as tightly bound to it's physical body as in other people, it can happen spontaneously.

There is a saying; "Small minds discuss events. Mediocre minds discuss people. Great minds discuss ideas." If you go to other boards you see that a lot of other people's lives are entirely absorbed in the smallest of details, petty annoyances, and displaced jellousies and dependencies. Even where the issues are large, they are usually black/white opinionated, even bigoted. These people are tightly bound to their bodies and their life on earth. For them to surrender their consciousness to a cosmic openness is as foreign as, well, any new idea.

If and when any of these people decide to try to AP or have an OBE, they will have a long road to travel to retrain the mind and body for a different type of consciousness.

Kiauma: i agree with you about that some people focus and stick to other things and get too focus on earthly things that glue themselves.

But this question was about "naturals".
What that means for me is those who as children can OBE with ease without even know the name of it.
They use it as we use our legs to walk with.
This is not something they have learned, they just do it.

Like small kid on a piano etc, just gets one infront if him and he can play like crazy.

Hi All,

I OBE'd the first time by accident. I haven't tried real hard since. I think that it happens naturally. You have to grab it as it happens. You have to learn to be somewhere in between "trying to focus" and "trying not to focus" on something. I just wait around if I can stay awake. I think we have to let it happen instead of chase it. It can be very hard for some people to just let go and not try to control or guide something. Just my admittedly rookie opinion of course.

Maybe it has something to do with people who dream alot. Like i used to dream i could fly alot when i was really young, it seemed so real i would try to as soon as i woke up. I thing there is a close tie between dreamers and projectors.

Ya, by describing why most people can't, I was contrasting 'natural' ability.

I think everyone could, with the right attitude and enough energy. Some people 'naturally' have that.

My thought is it's kinda like an invention, some come across idea's more often than other's. One could be destine, while others couldn't handle what they see? or could it be everybody's destiny, just a matter of running across the idea??? I have read of several people who accomplished OBE's - and decided it was entirely a dream, completely unreal. Despite the intensity of the experience, they still were able to convince themselves that it is an entirely internal experience fabricated by the mind.

I've been told that if -u- slightly think, ( not talk ) of the experience 3 or 4 times a day, u'll keep it in u'r subconscious mind. Hence when we sleep this is the part of the brain we use, thoughts that didn't get completely thought thru, submerge when we sleep.!!

Ya know I just really have a hard time believing in past lives. I've tried, some of it makes sense, but my logic kicks in and sais, if -u- can't see it it's not real. Of course now the things that happen to me ( OBE'S ), it took me up until well, recently to really acknowledge its truency. Knowing that I'm not crazy, 'cause their's others that have experienced the same things.

When I waz young, I had a high fever, I almost died several times, as I had said in one of my previous postings, I think this must have had something to do with my OBE'S.?! I think this is where my will power came from!!!

I have NEVER herd that said SO well!!! The ideas would then be the solution to the problems, wouldn't -u- agree.. Their the only ones that care enough to sacrifice their own rappore.??

There's a saying I know of; Through out your life you'll only be able to count u'r true friends on one hand... Think 'bout that. I'm 27yrs OLD, I've met at least 5000 people in my life, truly shook their hand, looked into their eye's, within 5 secs to 5 min even 5hrs realized that their waz something very different 'bout myself & them. Usually that they put other's down to lift themselves up. or thought themselves higher than everyone. "pathetic" That's my biggest annoyance...
I do have to extend a Big Thank You Kiauma, my entire life, I've been trying to figure out why people are so close minded.!. It has brought me down too many times. I always thought it waz because they were stubborn, Never being able to give them more than an excuse, but it's more than that. they have one or more of those poor quality's which molds their lives into self gratifying modes..? I do have one saying I've carried with me all these years. " Women that are bitches once they get to the top, have usually sleep their way to the up!!!"

] If one gives the right energy, that's what they get back. example; Someone tells -u- something, they ask -u- not to tell anyone! But u'r other friend could profit from this information, Do -u- tell??? If -u- don't the energy -u- would retain might be from having the right attitude.!? I really don't know how true that might be, however I think that would be pretty accurate..!

You -r- correct on that thunkle,,! Ya know when I waz around 12yrs old I had what I consider my first experience. It waz from a frightening dream, they must have been Lucid dreams. I remember seeing myself on my bed, and being able to think while in that realm, which surprised me that I could think in an OBE, spiritual form,,, not a dream, in a dream U- u'r self don't feel the third person reaction or thoughts.!. Right.!?
