Title: Nerves during sleep paralysis effect OBE chance?
Post by: Klaxen_2008 on January 06, 2010, 06:19:59
Quick Q: when you wake up in sleep paralysis with the intention to OBE, and you are nervous with your heart beating rapidly, would that effect your chances to OBE there and then? does it effect the OBE chances if you are nervous/scared with heart beating fast, or calm with your heart beating normally/slower before you try and use the paralysis state to OBE from?

Thanks.

Well, When i wake up in a sleep paralysis I'm not very aware of my body nor my heart bit.
But what i do know is that the more excited (scared or happy) i am, the lower are my chances to have an OBE.
I'd say, definitely calm yourself down.. Low entropy is the key for everything.

Good luck!

Anything that brings your awareness back to your physical body is enough to break an OBE.

Nope, i don't feel my physical body during paralysis (I do feel some unexplainable vibrations though).
And yes, stay calm.. tell yourself there's nothing significant enough that's worth being afraid of.  :-)

Not only fear. When many people get their first lucid dream they think "wow I'm lucid!" end it because of excitement. Same goes for AP. Don't think "awesome i am leaving my body". When the experience is over you can start thinking about how awesome it was
