I was talking to one of my friends, who like me has become very interested in occultism and related topics. He told me that he has talked to a few people who are the same age as my friend and I (15) and he pointed out that it was only at this age that we ever became interested in this stuff; we weren't ignorant to dismiss it as nonsense. Also, what struck us both was the fact that we both have parents that can project, as do the other people that that my friend was talking to. Everyone else it seem sin our school is dismissive of this, and has no desire whatsoever to learn about it, and that their parents have no links either.

I was wondering, does this mean that the 'ability' is hereditary?

Thanks, Nikk

I dont think it is, it was probably all those kid's parents who influenced them and got them interested. Why I don't believe it is hereditary is becasue anyone can project if they wish and it only took me about 6 months to learn how to counciously project with ease. I'm told that is relatively quick.

knightlight

yes, yes it is!!!  Learning to project in 6 months isnt quick, but being able to project with ease after 6 months is almost unheard of as far as I know.

I am not so sure it is hereditary, I think it is really something open to all people to be able to do, should they want to tap into that inner ability.
And he said "Let there be light", and so there was.

I also don't believe it is hereditory, but I think conditions which make projection easier might be. I have suffered from regular sleep paralysis for all of my life (which is fantastic for kick starting AP), my Father has also experienced regular SP for all of his life too (the chances of this is pretty remote).

everything is "hereditory" in the sense that is also passed down from previous lifes.

That's why people are born " musical ", there is such a thing as natural ability.

Problem is natural projectors make it sound so easy for the rest of us!

And yes, many people are born more equal than others.

It's just the way it is.

I took hereditory in this thread to mean in a physical genetic sence?

As far as I know, know one else in my family has ever had anything remotely like an OBE or sleep paralysis. No one shares my interest in these subjects. My entire family is hardcore Lutheran Christians going back generations. I think either you have the desire or you don't
