So I have been working on AP for about two months now, since I have found a renewed interest since my OBE four years ago, but that's another story. At any rate, I did the "wake up early" method, since I haven't been as nearly successful as I have wanted to be with other methods.

I woke up at 4:30 am, I didn't do all the other stuff they tell you to, like stay up for an hour, splash some cold water on your face ect...I was only up for about 10 minutes before deciding to go back to bed. I drifted off to sleep, then my mind woke up and I kept telling myself "time to roll out!", "time to roll out!" , but then I thought, "I can't roll out, the tables to close to me, I'll hit it" ( I was on the couch, and I had moved the coffee table closer to me earlier in the night while I was awake, so I could reach my drink, yeah I was lazy) I decided to just go for it, I rolled out and hit my floor, now I didn't hit hard, but I do remember hitting the carpet. Then like that, I must have fallen asleep.

I'm wondering if this was all a dream. I didn't get any "vibes" and I don't recall any SP going on. Also, it wasn't as "real" as my OBE four years ago, it was "fuzzy". SO this makes me think it was all a dream maybe lucid, and I just lost it and fell back to sleep.

So for the experienced AP'ers:

1 ~ Do you think this was a dream/lucid dream?

2 ~ Did any of you start dreaming about AP, before it actually happened for you?

Sorry if I am repeating any questions already asked ahead of time.

i dreamed about it a time or two before i actually did it...

not experienced so can't put my two cents on the other question.

Sounds like an OBE where you weren't particularly lucid, and because you weren't lucid you just fell out of your body and then your brain/consciousness just went back to sleep.  In his book, "Adventures Beyond the Body", William Buhlman suggests that when you first get out of your body you should state emphatically to yourself soemthing like "Awareness now!"  or "Focus now!" several times to increase how lucid you are.
