The "industry standard" sources in the field are the following:
Books: (to be read in this order)
R. Bruce: Astral Dynamics
R. Monroe: "Journeys out of the body"
R. Monroe: "Far Journeys"
R. Monroe: "Ultimate Journey"
Most of the stuff you've got I haven't even heard of.
CDs:
Holosync: you've got that.
Hemi-Sync: Wave 1 (you might not need that if you have well established relaxation / trance technique)
Hemi-Sync: Wave 2-7 (if you've got money. optional)
Psychic Defense is not generally recommended unless you have reasons to believe you are experiencing psychic attacts / attacks by non-physical entities.
Hi GhostRider,
Welcome to the Astral Pulse. [:)] There is a lot of good information here. Take a look at some of the previous topics and posts for ideas on answers to your questions. We also have a search engine at the top of the page that might help.
Bottom line, everyone is different and each person has a preference as to books and binaural cds. For my part, I'd say you already have some good books. I would just start reading and see what you like. Astral Dynamics is a great book for anyone, at any level. You might want to try Robert Monroe also. I'd start with his first book and go from there. The other authors that are good are William Buhlman and Robert Peterson to name a few more.
To repeat, try looking over some of the past topics and posts as they will give you some good ideas. There are certain topics here that are made "sticky" topics because of a recurring beneficial value. In the Astral Consciousness forum there are quite a few. I would recommend reading some of them such as Phasing Methods, Achieving Consciousness state for Astral Phasing, Gateway Wave 1 Pointers and a non-sticky topic Focusing Attention Within and my F27 Place.
Very best,
Mostly I just don't want to duplicate what I already have in my book collection. So I'll stick with what I got right now and I'm sure I'll probably get the Astral Dynamics and Psychic Defence (can't be too prepared eh'?[;)]) to add to my collection for the time being. Thanks for the advice though, I'm real glad there's a site like this otherwise I have a feeling I wouldn't be the only one winging it alone and without a guide wire. So thanks for the advice and keep up the good work. I'll use this thread to keep ya' all posted on my progress and ask for advice along the way... thanks again![^]
As I get better, so will my chest of psychic tools...[8D]
My only suggestion is this, OBE are different for every single person because of our unique level of individuality. You can never ever have enough information. I have read a few of the books that you listed and I got something different and valuable from each. Even when you reach your goal and begin projecting, it's important to learn of others experiences because it will make you even more curious about things and give you more things to search for, which is really the whole point. Good luck!
I am new to O.B.E.'s at least deliberately causing one to happen. Accidently I used to do them a lot more when I was a child and quite effortlessly I might add. The older I got (I am thirty now...) the less "connected" I became with my world/Gaia and I am now on a quest to rectify that situation. In my pursuit of "total" development (i.e.~ Physical, Mental, Spiritual) I have purchased the following tools and books upon advisement of those around me who have been doing this for awhile now and from my research on the subject.
My question is multi-faceted...
a.)- Are these all the tools I should need to begin with? If not, any suggestions?
b.)- I don't want the journey to be spoiled for me but if there's anything I should watch for in particular or anything I should not do... please tell me. And of what value is R.Bruce's book Psychic Defence to me when I'm just starting out, is it for someone with more experiance?
c.)- Here is a list of the tools I have at my avail...
-Holosync C.D.'s the two introductory C.D's that help you get started in their twelve C.D. program.
-"Ultimate Journey" - Robert A. Monroe
-"Adventures Beyond The Body" - William Buhlman
-"The Death And Afterlife Book" - James A. Lewis
-"The Biology Of Trancendence" - Joseph Chilton Pearce
-"Remote Viewing Secrets" - Joseph McMoneagle (a very informative but dry and text-bookish tomb, can you tell I've started on this book? Lol!)
-"The Silva Mind Control Method" - Jose' Silva / Philip Miele
P.S.~ Am I loaded for Bear and ready to move out, or do I have more to get? I am already well versed in P.R.T. (progressive relaxation techniques, etc....
Is there any particular order I should be doing this in or just follow my heart/instinct on this one?
