First off, a BIG Congratulations to you my friend!

For the blindness, just think, "I wonder if I can see," and you will see!

P.S.  Now you know what I meant by, "You're never really prepared for this."  It was scary wasn't it!

William Buhlman, in his books, says that if your vision is dull or unclear to forcefully demand, "clarity now" and/or "awareness now".  Last week when I had either an OBE or lucid dream (not sure) it was initially pitch black and I tried this (had to repeat it several times) and it worked great!

Its simple. When you are within a certain range from your body, you cant see. When you get further away, you can. Don't know why it happens though.
Also, if you get too close to your body, you get sucked back in.

First of all, big thanks to Mohamed who gave me a pep-talk yesterday about how I need more faith. So I've spent the day pondering on the idea that I WILL, somehow, achieve separation. I planned to get up early morning and do trancework from sleep-deprived state.

I was dreaming that I was in some motel with ROBERT BRUCE and ROBERT MONROE! Are you laughing yet? We were discussing something AP-related (basically, they were arguing whether using binaural aid is good or bad), and then they started arguing who's gonna use the shower first. I went outside to have a smoke. It was night, and I saw UFO/moving lights in the sky (I see those in my dreams on regular basis). When I was finishing my cigarette, I realized that I quit smoking years ago, became lucid, and snapped out from the dream back into trance.

I'm lying there thinking "this is some top-notch trance - I'll be damned if I don't get vibrations". I tuned a little bit, and a strong stable vibes came in. I'm lying there thinking "these are some top-notch vibes - I'll be damned if I don't get out". At this point, my knowledge of 1001 separation techniques evaporated, and the only one I could remember is "how nice it would be to float" mantra, which, in my execution, sounded like "how f@#$ing nice it would be to float... I'll be damned!!!" I felt the separation very clearly, and felt slowly rising like a soap baloon. My mantra transformed into "floating... is nice, but so f@#$ing scary!". Then I felt falling down and to the left (like rolling down the hill) until I touched the wall. So I'm floating there like a medusa, and then I moved to the next problem - I couldn't see darn thing. I tried wishing/turning on/enabling the astral sight, but remained blind as a kitten. I felt uncomfortable not being able to see anything given the unfamiliar environment, so I snapped back.

What could be the cause of the blindness? What should I try if I remain sightless the next time?
