Hmm, can't say that I've ever had that experience. My mom's into a lot of stuff, and my dad stays out of conversations as such. My sister has an open mind about it, my other sister . . . she's a bit of an oddball anyway. Oh no, I just realized my family is weird.

You need to explain to your mother in a rational and calm manner that astral projection is now a passion of yours, and that passions should not be simply given up. Systematically and logically proove to her that it is not sinful. Ask her calmy, "what evidence do you know of, to suggest that Astral projection is evil"? Analyze her answer. Where do her thoughts come from? And how would your mother know it is evil when she has not consciously projected? Explain to her that every human on Earth leaves their body unconsiously, almost everynight. You are merely trying to become conscious of the phenomena.

Logically and systematically break the topic down. Talk about Near death experiences. You could say Astral projection is merely the art of inducing a NDE on purpose.

Okay, I have been into AP for a few months, and I have read Astral Dynamics and thought it was fantastic! My mom took my book away and said that it was a cult! I asked my Bible teacher last year what she thought about it (by the way I am a hardcore Christian and I wouldn't do AP if I thought it was a sin) and she said she doesn't like it, but cannot find anything sinfull about it! So then everytime I talk to my mom about getting my book back she always says the same thing! "All those forums are a cult, and some of them dont even believe in God! they just want you to talk about OBE's so you can send them money or our house key so they can rob us! They are just trying to brainwash you into some cult! I as a parent cannot let you do that, and one day when you are mature than you will thank me!" It gets me so irritated, because I TRY to talk to her but she wont listen to me! I said "I wish you would just listen to me for at least 5 minutes" and she says "NO!" It makes me so aggrivated because I love God, and I want to figure out a way to show mom that AP is not a sin!!!! can any other christians post stories about their parents not liking AP, or how you have prooved to someone before that AP is not a sin (I'm sure it happens all the time). It really bothers me because I want to buy more books on AP, but my mom won't even let me come to forums anymore! (she doesn't know Im posting on here) but anyways Thank you soo much for anyone that replies, I'm really tired of my mother's misunderstanding of AP! She has that "because I'm a parent I'm always right" attitude towards everything! she will never listen to my side in ANY arguement! sorry my post was sooo long, and God bless everyone! (another thing she said, is that some of the people that AP arent even christian, and I know that and I respect those people even if they arent my religion. but then I said to her "Buddhist's drink water, so is that a sin if I drink water as well?" and she just ignores me!
