... I think most here would say that is classic RTZ. Stuff outta place... missing stuff, extra stuff.... ALL standard in the RTZ.
Not in my book- The RTZ is exactly what it claims to be. A Real Time Zone. Everything here is exactly the same as in our physical dimension. The vibrating rate is just slightly higher than the rate in which we find ourselves now. When projecting here one doesn't find themselves to have any sort of body. They are simply a point- an observer. The problem is, most people never find themselves in this strange area which copies our dimension and project directly into a zone with a vibratory rate slightly higher than the RTZ, where they may manifest some sort of body, or vehicle, to move with.

I don't know... I've had hundreds of OOBEs and never once has the RTZ been 100% accurate to my waking reality - 90% maybe but not 100%.

Same here. I'm always in the RTZ when I exit, and it looks the same as my actual room, but there are some details added/missing, so it's around 90% accurate. And it feels a lot different from the so-called astral plane once I get far away from the physical body:
RTZ = foggy, dim-lighted most of the time, and moving around feels weird. Like watching an old dusty film with some frames missing.
Astral = hyper-real, sensual colors, bright, and movement is fluid.
This fire that has gone out... in which direction from here has it gone?

I experience the exact same phenomena. Very unusual isn't it?

I only experience exact 100% literal real time zone when meditating with astral sight. For a moment (not even a second) after I project out everything is still 100%. According to my theory the reality fluctuations are caused by slight dimensional shifts.
The term RTZ is amazingly broad in the sense of how we use it. . . Some use it literally, while some apply it to any experience which holds some similarity to their physical realm.

After reading the above, I have to say, my definition of the RTZ seems to become slightly compromised in my mind. I have yet to have a 100% accurate RTZ(except for one fuzzy occasion, but I was out of control of my body), but all my other projections have been local, meaning I roll off my couch into some sort of layout realistic, but furniture and fixture separate realm. The farther I venture from my phasing location, the more drastic the changes seem to occur, but that is just a retrospective observation.

Ok, enough, I am starting a new topic to get to the bottom of this.   :-P

I will also add this to the chart I have been creating. describing the whole process. You all are going to love it.

Props to Summer.

Cheers,

Nice one! I look forward to that chart! Btw, guys, I'm loving everyone's input here. Different perspectives and it's all valid! 8-)

When you get out of the swimming pool you are out of the pool. You might still be wet but you really are standing on dry land. What you are calling the 'crossover' may be more like an RTZ/astral breeze drying off the last few drops of physical-ness.

Interesting and brilliant analogy.

By the way, I'd like to share this excerpt from my journal of an experience I had ages ago. I had separated post vibrations into an inaccurate replica of my bedroom and the environment outside the astral abode was like a fantasy land bearing the hallmarks of a Mode 2 projection. This was short-lived but, upon returning to the body (against my will), I decide to try to re-enter the Phase. What followed was a brevity of what could have been a fully-fledged Mode 1 OOBE:

"I suddenly thought of visiting Stacey's grandmother assuming that such realm may in fact be her new home since she passed away. I called out several times "nanny Marge, nanny Marge" as we used to call her. Nothing happened. I spotted a very bright star in the sky, its light was fixed like that of a planet. I decided to fly towards that speck of light as fast as I could in the hope that when I reached it, I would find Marge. I suddenly found myself travelling high up in the atmosphere until I was in space. The stars had suddenly vanished and I found myself staring into this dark void. I shouted "nanny Marge, nanny Marge" and there was a slight distortion in that sound, as though I was speaking through a fan, and the sound echoed throughout eternity. My physical awareness came back. I could feel my head on the pillow but I remained still. I was determined to separate again. Vibrations came stronger now. I felt like I had several vibrating mobile phones under my spine and I could sense the tips of my fingers vibrate. When things got quiet I imagined that the ceiling was a giant magnet attracting me to it. I started to float right out of my body towards the ceiling and the bedroom looked as it should. I thought of looking at myself laying in bed but found myself back in my body instead. I made the effort to rise up but I felt like superglue pulled me back. I remained still for a while and then I lifted my head. Again I was pulled back. I started to feel limbs floating up and out of my body. This is where it gets funny because then I thought what if my eyes could also float up and stretch out of my physical sockets, thus enabling me to see the outside. I could suddenly see around my bedroom while I could still feel the rest of my physical body laying in bed. I realised that my left arm was floating up in close proximity and when I looked at it, it was transparent (almost non-existent and I could see right through it) as I moved it in front of my wardrobe which is covered in posters. I began to feel extremely light and started to rise up and out. The movement was somewhat gradual and I gained the desired angle which enabled me to look upon me and my partner laying next to each other as I hovered near the ceiling. The bedroom looked exactly as it should which made me wonder if I was somehow perceiving the physical world from a viewpoint other than that of my human body. I shifted my attention towards the windows and I could see daylight coming through the blinds. It was so quiet and there was a sense of peace. This 'gentleness' continued until I regained physical awareness. I got up physically and rushed to write down the whole experience. It was 7am."
