Does burned incense in the physical raise the vibration of that area in the real time zone or the astral or whatever? Thanks.

In India it is believed that Sandalwood incense "purifies" the atmosphere.

Marilynn Hughes highly recommends incense and holy water to prepare the area for an OBE attempt.

My guess is that the effect is mostly psychological- it is a way of expressing intent, and "sanctifying" the time and place with the reverence of your approach to it.

I would not think the incense itself could be nearly as important as what you are saying to yourself by using it.
