Title: not 3 new proj. tek's and some throw up.
Post by: Tom on August 23, 2002, 23:55:01
If I were living on my own, I would try a device from dream yoga. It is to build a box that is just big enough to sit up in, but not big enough to recline at all in. Sleeping at night is to be done in the box. No lying down during the day. Just sitting, standing, and walking. The sleep lightens and dreams become much more accessible.

Have you looked into vipassana at all? It uses periods of formal meditation, but is also gives you something to do when between sessions.

If I had the time that you do I personally would not devote all my time to meditation and trying to project. Exercise would be a good thing to add to your schedule. Not only is it good for you and helps you stay healthy but it can relieve stress and tension in your physical body which can help you relax more. Also by doing physical activities it will tire the physical body but not usually the mind which should help in projecting as well. I believe that moderation is the key to a healthy life, both physical and spiritual. Neglecting one for the other is not a positive thing (atleast to me), though I know that there are those that believe in both extremes. While you are meditating look for what you need to do to progress. You should know more about yourself than anyone else and should find the answers within. Of coarse it does not hurt to ask either and most people on here are always willing to help. I wish you lots of luck.

i recently posted and asked if i could try too much ... i got a response telling me to take breaks in betweeen trying, like fifteen minutes or so.

i have nothing but time on my hands right now and i dont know when that is goin to change. i m very determined and will not be discouraged.

i'm wondering if any of you *experts* out there would mind letting me know if you had all day every day for a few weeks to try, what exactly what the schedule be like. i'm not kidding about all day every day either. i've been trying very hard for a very long time only to keep thining i'm almost there i'm almost there. only to find theres more to go. i thought a few times i actually felt myself lifting up only to be trapped by muscles tensing up at the last second.

lately i've been doinga lot of meditating and have been incorporating projection attempts in w/ it. i'm a meditating freak and have been doing it for two to ten hours a day. i'm actually going to be taking up a full residency at a monastary in a few months because i cant get enough and have the time in my life to do it right now.  i dont get exhausted physically or mentally from it. so guys tell me what you think.
