my whole body got numb for the first time yesterday while meditating. is that a sign that im close to projecting? if so, what should i do at that point?
Numbness is just the first step of astral projecting, but you're still kind of far away. You still have to enter different trance states n stuff, but at least you're getting there.
what else will i feel before an obe?
Well i've been in the step right before an obe, and i know if i pushed i could of gotten an obe. Anywayz, u gotta get into deep trances, but the big sign is EXTREME vertigo, where its like your fallin down an endless pit. U can't even tell what direction is up, down, or even where your arms are. If u want me to explain more (ive done a whole load of crap) u can catch me on aim, xshadowxspecterx.

a lot of vibrating and possibly different noises like hearing yourself snoring
when it is happening to me after the vibrations i can see through my eyelids

everyone's experience must be different cause i never had any of that
Hi. I just read your post and i need help! I feel really scared. I think I have Out of Body experiences. For example, today i was taking a nap and felt traped in my body. I couldn't wake up but my mind was awake. " My spirit" sat up as i looked down from my bunk bed. I could hear my roommate talking. Then my "mind eyes" opened and i saw my arm. I could hear classical music in the background and then i went back to my body, woke up and saw my arm with my physical eyes. MY ARM LOOKED EXACTLY THE SAME. This i s not the first time it happens. One time i levitated and saw the entire room from the ceiling. This happens to me a lot and it's scary. Can anyone explain what is going on? and is there anyway to stop it.
thanks
Slares, that sounds like obe experiences.
If you really want to stop it, you can feel your body and try to move it - that should stop the experience and bring you right back. I suggest that you explore it further instead though, and see what you can do.
It's not something that there is a reason to be afraid of.
what else can i do though? I was reading all of the posts but it is quite overwhelming. Am i in the first stages? can i actually train myself to be out of my body and walk around? what was it that people were tlaking about being in another world?
I suggest that you start here : http://astraldynamics.com/tutorials/?BoardID=65

Oh - and you're not limited to walking while being out
thank you so much for your help. Sorry for taking part of your time.
Heh I just pointed you to some links - you should see the lengthy posts some others make :D

dont be afraid and then just imagine yourself out
this is the place we all get before obe and sometimes when we come back in
No there's nothing to be afraid of love. If I start to have an OBE at an inconvenient time like when i'm really tired and i've got to get up for an early shift at work the next day, I pull myself out of it by concentrating on my toes and wiggling them! You can stop it quite easily when you've got the knack.
