Out of body generally refers to a projection into the realtime zone near your physical body both in location and dimension
which means close to our reality
Astral projection usually refers to the higher dimensions of which I have yet to venture to
(robert bruce talks about them a bit in his book)
=)
At least thats what i percieve the difference is

You are not the only one really. It all depends on who is talking. Different people have different ideas about the two. Some people see the two as the same thing and use them interchangably. Others see them as two different things. To find out the actual meaning you need to do some studying on the person and look for clues in the article that you see them used. Really to try and define them is just beating yourself over the head. They really mean about the same thing for the most part, as they all are talking about being out of the physical body in the basic terms. For the most part, atleast on this message board it seems that people use the definitions Grenade01 has given.
I guess I'm one of those people who use both these expressions interchangeably. I don't know if it really makes a difference which expression you choose and how you choose to use it.

To me they are the same...
I think of projecting as the conscious mind projecting from the physical.
An OBE is perhaps technically more correct...
Projecting gives the image of the mind using something akin to clairvoyance, rather than the etheric body leaving the physical.
Blech :P

Hi.
I am still lost as to the difference between Astral Projection and Out-of-body experiences.
Could someone clear this up for me please?
Thanks!
