I've had quite a few OBE's over the years but they don't seem to be getting easier to induce.

I thought that the longer I stuck at it the easier it would be to have them when I want but its not the case.

People like Robert Monroe and Robert Bruce give the impression that 'practice makes perfect' but it just doesn't in my case.

Are there any seasoned OBE'rs that have managed to fine tune their awareness over time and have them at will? or anyone in the same position as me?

Well i cant have them before I go to sleep or in a meditative state. I can however induce them 85% of the time at will during the morning after a full nights rest. Practice helps but also keeping a positive attitude about projecting.

I can physically wake up and lay in bed and sink into a state where I force my mind awake while my body is still asleep. My best analogy when you are falling asleep is you feel yourself sinking deeper and deeper into a large lake (heading towards being asleep). As you reach the bottom of the lake you are extremely cold but jolt your mind awake. I have also induced them by provoking a swaying motion in this state (as if I was in a boat on the ocean)
I wandered slowly there
I saw a field where a thousand corpses lie
Angels sang the hymn of the end
About monsters which they fought
Over our world

similar for me to relate to.

I've become addicted to anything fun and good feeling in the past and easily go overboard. If I could OBE at will, that's all I would do and become a monk. So I think I'm being consciously sort of restricted so as to continue my task of experiencing the physical. I still meditate frequently to steer my actions to the positive, my OBE experiences are very rare but I can instantly feel the happiness, wonder and uplifting at will.

Ever seen pictures of people praying at the Wailing wall, rocking back and forth? I've wondered if this was the religious outward interpretation of a lost art of inner meditation experiences.
From google - "This is taken quite literally by many, and has evolved not only into rocking, but also bowing at specific prayers. The process is called "davening"."

This could be a good example of how religions misinterpret the process of an inner experience and create a ritual display as a hint of the original intent of teachings.

I get the sensation during trance and help it along to increase the momentum. It's very natural and instinctive.

I have been projecting for seven years and still cannot project at will.

However, I have had over 100 OBEs, including two visits to the Akashic records.

Some people find phasing an easier method; I just can't seem to wrap my head around it.

Best of luck to you!
