Well since its only happened the once whos to say it'll happen again?

Well , I heard that your heart chakra will start to feel like it pumps really fast but its really not... I also feel what your goin through but I'm not breathing THAT heavily... I tend to get really excited when I get vibrations cause I know I can 90% turn it into a projection now.  I will start breathing more rapidly.. I guess if it was your first time , let it happen and try not to get too excited cause it sounds like thats what happened to you.  Good luck , sorry if I helped NONE at all heh

I believe I can do anything. I believe I just have to learn more before I can make it happen. http://www.mutedfaith.com/images/spirit.jpg">

Loving yourself first is the most important step you must take before you can truly love someone else.

Feel free to ask me anything. I'll try to offer advice if I can.

No, sorry, but it DEFINITELY wasn't just excitement.  It has happened since, before I even reached the vibrational stage.

Metaphysics.
I don't know if this will help because I'm not well read on all of this - so all my methods are my own that i've developed mostly through trial and error.

I've never had the problem you've mention but as part of my falling into the deepest meditative state there is a breathing exercise that I use that may help.  Oh!  Sometimes I do feel myself gasp as I pass through, but this seems a lot different to what you've said.  Anyway, what i've noticed (for me) is at the last stages of meditation my only contact with the physical body is my breathing and so what I do is this:

As i fall deeper into trance (not sure if that's the right word) i scan up over by body parts and "drop" them or make sure they relaxed.  As I advance further I drop the whole body at once - this is nearly always very pleasurable.  As i get further still, I leave the body to continue dropping - but like I said, the breathing is still there*.  I just relax my chest and refuse to make the effort to breathe.  My body copes with this for me and begins to inhale air.  I take no active part in this, and my lungs will inflate to what seems like bursting point.  At a certain point the lungs will start to deflate themselves - which seems to take ages.  And then when what feels like you're totally out of air they'll start to inflate again.

As i've got used to this it became more natural (but sometimes still a little uncomfortable) and it may have been this that's allowed me to pass over any strange breathing phenomena without worry.

The point is that to begin with this exercise is uncomfortable to say the least and maybe by having a go at it will implant a way of you dealing with the phenomena you're experiencing.

I would try this first without any meditation so that you know what to expect, and more importantly make sure that this is safe to do for yourself - I'll feel safe with it but I've never checked it out properly.

I would also intuitively say that what you're experiencing isn't necessarily a bad thing - just be bold and take it on, welcome it almost (easy for me to say!).

I hope this of some help.

It always feel that I can't breath when I start feeling those vibrations... weird =/

Hi,
Try to ignore it. Concentrate on something else. I know its hard... but do it.

metaphysics...hi.
2 things.

1. How long after the vibes start, do the breathing complications begin? You may be ready to make an exit. There have been times when weird, potentially distracting sensations, have occurred for me and instead of letting them distract me I just make an attempt to exit. This works if the time is right.

2. The other thing is that you said you are getting vibes in the torso and legs. You should be getting them all over. The reasoning for this, as I understand from Robert Bruce's book is that you may be getting poor circulation of energy to other areas. Your secondary energy structures may need a bit of work. The NEW system in Astral Dynamics gives wonderful instruction on this. If certain areas have energy blockages, you could experience a plethora of energy challenges...including the one you are experiencing. Check it out, see if it helps. If you just clear up that area...maybe things will work a lot better.

hope this helps..
lotsa love

For a few weeks I would start to hyperventilate when trying to go out of body. The problem was that when I was deciding that I would do it this time for certain and really put all of my concentration behind the effort, I was just stressing myself. It didn't feel like stress because it added up gradually while all of my attention was on doing the technique. It was only when I was hyperventilating and rolling my eyes up and tensing my entire body to the point of lifting myself off of the floor physically that I realized something was going wrong. Fortunately, learning to catch the symptoms early let me dissipate the tension before it got so bad.

Metaphysics,  I get this too.  Climbing the rope, I can usually count on getting: strong vibrations all over my entire body
a floaty, losing sensation of my body feeling
a boxed in perception of where i am
and sometimes a sense of moving upwards like my limbs moving and the like.

Then, everything ends because of erratic breathing.  It does feel as though I will hyperventilate.  Short little breaths, uncontrolled.  Takes all my concentration just to steady them to a comfy rhythm.  Of course, this ruins any other gains I have made at the time.

*Sometimes* the sensations just leave.  No warning, no more build up, no breathing problems, they just dissapear all at once, suddenly.
I am hoping it is the mind split effect like Robert talk's about.  That would be progress at least.

Answers:
I've done chakra work, so that's not the problem, I don't get the vibes in my upper body because of the muscular spasms caused by or causing my erratic breathing I guess.
Trust me on this, trying to ignore yourself hyperventilating sometimes, is like trying to ignore somebody slapping you in the face.

It happened again last night, I got THE VIBES (in my lower torso) but my breathing threw me out of it.  It's getting better I think.
Thanks a lot for all of the responses by the way

Hi everyone,
I had an interesting experience last night; I pulled on the rope for a bit, then experienced the following exit sensations:
Torso energy rush,
briefly confused mental state
Vibrations in the legs and stomach area
(This is my first real attempt by the way)
THEN - my lungs fully expanded and involuntarily staring inhaling and exhaling extremely quickly and violently - this TOTALLY screwed my focus for a few seconds. How can I stop this? Thanks,
Metaphysics
