Hallo to all. Recently I broke a dry spell of nearly 7 months without an OBE.
Here it is --

OBE Titled   "Transition Into Astral Awareness"
               Sunday, October 10, 2010 (OBE # 96)

This OBE was directly preceded by a dream.
Dream.  I was living in New Orleans. Harry was there as my roommate. Eventually I moved out of that apartment and was staying in a very large warehouse-type building. Here I missed obvious clues for lucidity including furniture and items disappearing. Writing also kept fading away. Eventually this dream transitioned into an OBE.
OBE # 96  This began in the large, mostly empty, warehouse room. I was already out of body. The place was either an unfamiliar physical location or else was somewhere in an ethereal belief system territory.
My consciousness transitioned from the dream into astral awareness. Yet this astral awareness was not complete because I thought that my physical body was in the warehouse room. I was not physically there of course. I floated up about 18-20 feet to the ceiling. This felt quite good. I was mildly excited.
The room was completely empty. I decided to look for my physical body yet (obviously) could not see it. This OBE was quite short as it lasted less than 2 minutes. Lucidity was not strong so my consciousness transitioned back into a dream, actually a false awakening.
False awakening.  Here I tried to record the OBE on paper. Again words kept fading away so I finally realized it was a dream.
Notes.  OBE # 96  Locale I or an Ethereal-BST. No other persons or beings. Travel-teleport, Deliberate,  Dream Into OBE,  Floated,  Short,  OBE Into Dream,  Meditation (earlier),  Pranayama  (earlier).

As usual I appreciate any comments or questions. Thanx for reading

Hello, I also had a dry spell and started to panic thinking maybe this is it and an OBE may never happen again. I didn't have an OBE for at least six months or more then recently had a few, although they were quite short mundane ones.

I have become too comfortable on my OBE's occurring through either a lucid dream, or just random awakenings that were not induced from dreams (suddenly having an OBE while asleep but not knowing how you got there). Either way they were not self induced/controlled, and happened on their own accord.

To ensure some sort of future sustainability I will have to learn conscious exit projections or self induced.  The only reason to date I have not done this is simply it's a steep learning curve and I need to invest more time in understanding various methods. I found it easier (perhaps being lazy) to just hope one will happen while I slept, and as mentioned panicked when the experiences dried up.

I guess the whole OBE process is nothing but always a continuous challenge requiring another means when you hit these brick walls.

Awesome Grey!  :)

Alex,
You should never really panic if you don't have a projection for a while, just go with the flow.  It'll happen when it happens. :)

Great news Grey!

I also agree, not sure why, just seems like a good template.

I've been having dreams as well. Although I realise I'm dreaming I never become fully lucid. I dunno what do...

Dream to projection would be soooo much easier.

Greetings

personalreality, Inner~Peace, Captain Picard, and Xanth, Thanx for the friendly comments. I should note here that after documenting my own OBEs I began to use the same method to document other peoples' OBE accounts posted on various websites (including this one). This eventually led me to amass, collate and post my "OBE Survey" ( a compendium of info on over 14,000 OBEs) that is posted here at this site (and on astraldynamics.com). The link to Part I of that survey is here --

Alex, yes, you have also broken an OBE dry spell. I made several comments about your recent experiences in your newest thread.

You are close to discovering the bridge between lucid dreams and OBEs. You are right when you claim,

QuoteDream to projection would be soooo much easier.

Yes, indeed it is. Transitioning from dream/lucid dream into an OBE is an ART that is well worth learning.

Thanx  8-)
