I haven't read the book yet, but regardless of my forthcoming judgement regarding the material, thank you is in order [:D]

I read it - and i liked it - but what i hate about all books - they say the same thing- like talking to someone who does not hae any idea what an obe is - this is great - but there are too many books on that subject ! If someone would want to write a really usefull book - it should present the story of HOW did he/she got started OBEing

Just an opinion,
;) Mihai

Hi mihai

Well i´ts always better to point out things than leave them behind. Also, you should remember that my compilation is mostly for newbies, and with that in mind it´s only good to point out all the annoying "sayings" that are heard so often. What if the reader never had read anything about APing before?

In what way would a book that presents the story of a guy getting into AP help the reader in his progress? I´m not saying it would be a boring book though.

quetzalcoatl

I enjoyed it.  I like the fact that you emphasize perseverence.  Most of the stuff I've read has been by people who naturally have projected since they were 4 or something.  It's good to know that there are competent projectors that actually had to work at it.  My effrots are sporadic but I'm getting many different flavors of experience.  For instance I heard the most interesting music yesterday while trying to project but I digress...
You show alot of insight, especially for being only 17.

I guess if I have to give some constructive criticism, it seems that you say some things that don't matter whether or not you say them.  You might say stuff like "it doesn't matter what I say you'll find out for yourself when you do it".  That's kind of a given.  You may just be stressing that it depends on personal experience so that's ok.  Maybe don't say it so much.

Overall nice job!

flake

yes quetzalcoatl but there are alot of desperate newbies out there that are like 14 years old or younger who want answers and quick and believe that there is an absolute right and wrong in everything. In that way I feel like I had to say those "meaningless" things too. When I first started out APing I wish somebody would have told me the things that I´m speaking about in my book you know.

yea music is cool. When the sound of the music gets intensivly clearer and u are not sure if its a sound or thought, thats the time to pull yourself out of body. (incase u didn´t know)

Flake, why does your "book" have 31 pages, but its table of contents goes to 62?

Well if u view it in the online mode as I stated in the book then the contents page starts to make sense.
It could also be that u cant view it in that way because I wrote the work with a semi-old version of Word

Shadow20205

Ok thanks I didn't know what you meant by read the online version, this clears it up.[:)]

Flake,

This book is excellent. I've read a lot of stuff, and you've covered just about *everything* that I think is important without making it too complicated.

This book came along at just the right time for me. So thanks!

I have a hard time with the God and Satan analogy of this guide.  I've noticed a lot on this forum that people that can AP believe much differently about chrisianity.  Not everyone, that would be overgeneralizing... but many.  They tend to think that all the teachings are symbolic and that they're intended understanding has been lost.  Astral Projection is simply another form of conciousness, but the gospels are true regardless any spiritual abilities you may have.  You are simply not looking hard enough or allowing yourself to be open to the concept.  The existence of God and Christ and all their creations is truly a natural and simple concept to grasp, it is upside-down thinking that construes their teachings.  Christ talks of the "plainness" of his words and he does so in order for us to understand them.  He does not speak in code or in a way that only the faithful can understand.  He teaches in plain words so that everyone can comprehend their truthfullness.  Yes, I'm certain things have been changed over the years, but other things have surfaced to reinforce the gospel teachings.  The Bible is not the single source of Christs words, just the only one that most consider to be a possible answer.  You must not be confused with perception.  Adam and Eve, the life and death of Christ... these teachings are meant to be taken literally, as in, they truly occured.  In regards to Adam and Eve and the Garden of Eden... when they ate the fruit it says that Adam "fell into a deep sleep".  But nowhere in the bible does it ever talk of Adam waking up again.  The mortal life that we live now is the "dream state", and it's all meant to be taken very literally.  It's not symbolic.  God is not perception... only fact.  There is no other truth!  It's interesting to me how God so plainly teaches us in many different texts... and yet so many easily choose to reject Gods teachings in place of a different opinion written by just some guy/girl.

I selected "online mode". A menu appeared at the left, but it was still 31 pages.

Its still interesting reading even without a working table of contents.

Flake:
I have been visiting this site for months and finally registered so I could read & respond to your work. I have only had time to read it once, and I should probably have reread it before writing, but I wanted to say a couple things now.

I have read a lot of OBE books, and there is necessarily always some repetition between them, and it is when a book actually adds to the basic knowledge that it becomes memorable.

You wrote several new expressions of the commonly experienced, hard to describe things-- My very favorite is feeling like there is Coca Cola in your body, as a description of the tingly energy, just perfect in my opinion!

You also struggle with the range of consciousness and lucidity, and apply it to waking states as well as sleeping and altered states, which was a new idea to me, and the part of your work that I will revisit and try to better understand. I come to my beliefs through experience and through what just rings true to me, and this concept of lucidity or a lack thereof in ALL states of consciousness, including waking, seems to fit my experience and intuition.

Thanks for sharing your book. It inspires and instructs.

Mrs. Jetson
