Title: OBE from within a lucid dream?
Post by: Lucid Pirate on April 22, 2012, 13:18:49
Does anyone have any techniques for this? Like any dream commands or objects to make to help AP?

I've heard that mirrors may work or that creating a portal is also good but they never work for me. If they've worked for you, please share the process of creating them in a LD.

This is what I do: I pick the exact same OBE exit technique that I normally use for conscious OBE's and use it in a dream. For example if you normally use the roll out exit maneuver. Then train yourself to use that inside a dream. It will convert your dream into a conscious OBE.

Possible exit maneuvers to try in a dream. There are probably a lot of other ones you can try.
--rolling out
--lifting up
--sitting up
--slipping through the soles of your feet
--rising through the top of your head

Pick one of the above, and subconsciously implant that maneuver in your head every so often in your waking life. Then you will find yourself occasionally doing that maneuver in a dream, and you will have the dream turn into an OBE.

There are some techniques for upgrading an LD to an OBE, but I won't say that
it's easy. One of the persons providing a technique is Buhlman (http://www.astralinfo.org/newsletterdec2002.htm), scroll down on
the page.

The part about "...dream state as a platform (http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_dreams/lds_are_not_obes-t34172.0.html;msg283002#msg283002) for an OBE", is where Buhlman answers.

It's my opinion that once you're lucid in the non-physical you're already projecting at that point.

What you're asking for now is a simple shift in perception.  You want to be "out" of body in this physical reality?  Just think about the physical location you wish to experience... visualize how it makes you feel and what you would do there.  You'll shift to that location.

There's never any need to return to your physical body first... that's adding a very unnecessary step, which actually adds more risk of losing the projection.
You're already "out"... just go to where you want to go.  :)

In my opinion we are connected with the inner worlds at all time. The physical worlds are created and are supported by non- physical matter. They are the outer crust so to speak of the multidimensional universe. However, still connected very much to all. The parts of our spirits that are oriented into physical bodies in order to observe and interact with physical universes never loose the connection with the inner worlds. The only difference is that our senses and the state of physical wakefulness, suppress the observation of the astral worlds. As soon as those senses are shut off through sleep phases, we are free to observe the higher frequency places. Now, because we possess physical bodies and our transmitting device - the brain is not an advanced mechanism, it does not always translate or have the capacity to hold the memories of these observations when we fall back into full physical orientation (state of awakefulness). Furthermore, our daily life's events influence our subconsciousness which holds our beliefs, fears, etc and transforms them into events in the astral places, where we perceive them as dreams. The amount of consciousness we gather during astral orientation is the element that we need in order to take control of the experience, and also to transfer it through our physical brains to remember when we wake up.
We have adopted the theory of "separation" because that is what most makes sense to us according to our space-time laws. But really all we have to do is to change our frequency, to attune to each level of the inner worlds. Our consciousness/thoughts are our transporting machine. And we don't travel in the same fashion we do in the physical world.
So, bottom line, after all that being said, is that during lucid dream you may have enough consciousness to realize that you are in a state of dreaming, and all you have to do is to start navigating with your thoughts. Think where do you want to be and you will be transported. You may want to think of flying or even start changing the circumstances of the lucid dream itself. But you were already in the astral to begin with. You don't need a technique to "separate".
Now, if you never REALIZE that you are dreaming and wake up, but felt that the dream was very vivid, then you need to do more techniques and affirmations to raise your frequency enough, in order to gain stronger lucidity, or straight projection.
