witnessing someone die astrally

ive read and heard what some projectors theorize as being "death". has anyone ever witnessed someone die astrally to see what happens from an astral perspective to someone who dies?

I remember reading a death scene in the classic astral projection book by Sylvan Muldoon / Hereward Carrington ("The Projection Of The Astral Body"), where Muldoon observes a sick man who is dying.

I don't understand.  How do you see someone dying in the astral, and how do you know it's not a symbolic event?

Various sources write the chakras compress into one, the aura turns pink and the consciousness with this new unified energy body leaves out of the top of the head.

hmm... what i mean is has anyone ever astrally projected and saw someone die during their projection

Robert Monroe and his TMI team regularly did that.
They would work with terminally ill patients, teach them to project, assist them in setting up their "Focus 27 home" and then upon death, a group of them from TMI would be on hand in the astral waiting to guide the person to where they needed to go. 

Robert Monroe did this, not personally, with his own wife... his team was there in the astral while he was by her bedside.  He knew when she was "gone" before the doctors did.
