salvia is an amazing drug, i have had many experience with it, but really only one where it had a "trip" II felt like i almost had an AP, but the erffects were short and i didn't get out my body....

To answer your question Link- Yes, I have ingested this substance and I absolutely do NOT recommend it to anyone.  Not only was it extremely unpleasant, but the experience had no redeeming value for me whatsoever.

Luckily, most people feel the same and therefore this drug is not often used for recreation.

Salvia is an amazing plant. It can open up 'doors' and provide profound experiences If used wisely.
However, because when smoked the effects are both quite intense and short lived it is probably not very suitable for inducing projections. The problem is that the user has little or no control of the situation for the short time that the experience lasts.

I've done salvia on a few occasions.  Went to a whole other place on two hits of a homemade 5x.
All I can say is this.
Salvia is rarely pleasant.....
You will not have fun...

If your prepared to have the crap scared out of you, and you know you can handle that, then take a hit or three of 5x extract in a dimly lit room with a sitter you trust (I recommend only the sitter be there with you) with no noise or distractions.

With that out of the way.
I don't know what to call my strongest trip on Salvia.

I remember it coming on as I walked towards my bed... Just as I sat down I was somewhere else.   I was about twice my age, and I was typing on an Imac.  I got the feeling I was in a new york apartment, and I took a sip of starbucks.  Then I got the feeling someone was intruding on my mind... I realized it was me (the real me) and I got very startled...   The only way I can explain that is it's as if I entered someone elses mind..became aware of their thoughts just as they noticed me entering their mind..then getting scared at seeing myself invade this persons mind.  Im not saying that really happened..Im just saying thats the way it felt.  So I got scared and things shattered away like breaking glass. I was floating in a void and I saw very far away a lantern.  I started floating towards it.  The closer and closer I got the more my room came into focus. finally I realized I was across the room staring at the LED on my radio wondering what the hell it was.  As I becam aware of my body..I freaked out because I didn't know where I was..or who I was.  My friend reminded me and I started to calm down and grasp what was going on.   As I was coming down...my girlfriend walks out of the bathroom having just finished her hits, and has nearly the same trip I did (minus the being an older man in a new york apartment part.)

Now... Obe..or just plain insanity

From your desription Grenade01 it appears that you Did have a short OBE while under the effects of salvia. Your description is consistent with reports of other people who have had short and uncontrolled projections while using various psychoactive substances (DMT, datura, LSD, ketamine and salvia mostly).
Your report also highlights the main problem with those substance-induced projections and that is Lack of Control.

Has anyone here ever ingested or smoked salvia divinorum? This is a plant that is a part of the mint family and is primarily grown in southern Mexico. It is currently legal in the United States and produces very profound effects when smoked. The reason why I am telling you about this plant is because of the amazing experiences I have had with it relating to Astral Projection. Every time I smoke it I immediatly lose consciousness. My friends tell me I am out for 3 or 4 minutes. What happens to me during that time is amazing. I did not know exatly what was happening until I read Astral Dynamics, particularly the part about the mind split effect and lost shadow memories. while I am passed out physically mentally lost shadow memories of past Astral Projections are being unlocked and I get to receive these memories in real-time. It does not feel like I am having  actual OBE but when these memories flood my conciousness it is so real and I remember the projection very clearly.
So far every shadow memory I have unlocked during my salvia journeys have been from the Astral plane. No lost real time projection memories have come. This experience proves to me that lost shadow memories or not lost forever but are stored away in the brain and can be unlocked. I am sure that there are other ways to do it also. The Salvia Divinorum that I use is extremely strong because the plant matter is mixed with a purified extract of salvinorin A (the active compound in Salvia Divinorum) and I recommend that this is the type of material to use because you only need to take 1 hit so it is not bad for your lungs. I strongly disagree with that and all of my conscious OBE's have been done without the use of any drug.
