I have a question about astral projection

I was reading this book and it said that if you don't believe in an afterlife after you die your spirit will not have the will to stabilize it's self and will be literally absorbed into the spirit world and you will lose most of your personality and will be hardly conscious of anything that goes on around you.Is that true?

Oh yeah i forgot to say that the book i read this from was a book called the weird 100 and it was in a section that was focused on life after death.

I don't know how they(or anyone for that matter) would know that first of all.  And secondly I personally don't believe that.

I suppose it could be possible but either way, you aren't going to find out until it happens.  So just live your life the way you see fit and don't worry about that kind of stuff that's out of your hands.
