how good are you at ap'ing oobe'in ect. rate 1-10 ten being best.  it would be interesting to see how many of us are good at it or not so good at it.

I would say that these measures are not accurate unless you reduce the scope of your question.
For instance, you can narrow it by saying, drowsy exits, or lucid dream exits, etc.

And do remember OBE's can be measured in all sorts of ways. For example, don't forget that even a daydream is an OBE of sorts.

ok. just made a generic rating. no one really wants to think about a poll. just was something fun to see how good some people are.. will do better next time.

I have to put myself into the 8-10 category. I have put an extreme amount of work into my Phasing in the last year until now and have seen the rewards for my toils. I Phase twice a day and now see that in the past 3 weeks I have been living my nights in Lucid Dreams. Last night I lived almost a lifetime in Thailand. I awoke 4 different times for real, just to be thrust back into my dream again. I thought it was a retrieval, because it started in an area of immense floods, but through it all I saw changes in myself. In my weight, my health, my overall persona. Normally upon awakening with dream recall I immediately grab my book and write down everything. But I awoke 3 different times during this dream, I decided I was too lazy and would do it later. This is usually a fatal mistake with dream recall, for that would normally kill any memories of the event that I had. But this time when I awoke again and again, I would just jump right back into the scene. It was incredibly vivid and I looked like I was aging at the end of it, so I must have lived this scene there for a considerable time span.
Sorry to waste your time with my story, I just get a bit excited when something new occurs with this.  :-)

My projections mostly fall into the "spontaneous" category.  It's been that way my entire life.
Although when I'm out I have pretty good control.  I'm with Greytraveller... 3 - 5.
I do wish I was way better at this.  lol

I can tell you where I want to be: I'd like to develop the ability to dip into the OBE and OBE consciousness at will, 24 hours a day, while remaining functional (and having my 'earthly' function enhanced by having the 'astral' on tap). This is something I've been working towards since my teens.

Where I am now...if that's a 10, maybe a 6. Very common sleep awareness (I don't like to call it paralysis anymore as I have good control) and vibrations, conscious exit maybe once every couple of weeks, usually opportunistic rather than planned (though in earlier years I could take a quiet afternoon and kick off a planned OBE with maybe 1-in-3 certainty...I'm a little out of practise and I don't have the kind of time I had as a student). My OBEs, when they happen, are vivid and powerful (meaningful events, validated time travel, spherical vision, gone beyond the astral once) continuous (no breaks in consciousness) and controlled (I'm a half-decent flyer). For all I've seen there is still an infinity out there to be explored and understood...I'm under no illusions there.

If I close my eyes for a couple of minutes I can get myself to a creatively useful hypnogogic/creative/visionary/altered state every time, which is major aim of what I'm doing.

I'm a 47. Off the frickin charts. Seriously, why does it matter? Regarding the forum, I've found you can tell a lot more about a person by how they contribute then what they claim to have experienced.

I think the poll is skewed too high. Very few reach the "5" on this scale.

My present goal is to get to twice a week, full conscious OBE. I originally set a goal of once a month when I started this and it took nearly two years of daily effort to get there.

I do not count LD as an OBE and I have doubts about the "at will, anytime I want" claims. That almost falls into full "Master of Life" category that would imply knowledge and abilities that are off the charts in other ways and I do not see that level truly out there in many cases. Maybe entering a High Illusion Dream Realm at will is what passes as OBE for some but I am talking about High Astral at least and preferably Atmic.

Hi Rudy, just because you don't understand something, it doesn't make it untrue. You say your original goal was having a conscious OBE once a month and now is twice a week. How often do you practice? I share a home business with my wife. I can stop what I am doing and do a Phase Session any time I wish. I listen to video's on Astral Travel by all the Masters everyday. I do a Phase session twice almost everyday with the aide of either my Laxman or my Binaural Beats/Isochronic Tones. I find it hard to see how any one can sit back and say that hard work does not pay off. It does and it will for people. Brain Entrainment is the true key to success. Positive affirmations, writings, reading/learning will always led to success. You get back what you put into it. I'm sure in your life you achieved your goals as well due to your hard work and diligence. Why should this be any different?

I did not say anything was untrue.
I did not say hard work does not pay off. Not even close.

You pasted a quote of mine and replied to me personally but nothing you said thereafter had anything to do with the quoted text or anything else I have said, for that matter.
