Part 5 Notes On Phenomena
(Acute Senses through Floated)

Here is an examination of the phenomena of the OBE. These notes are extensive, yet far from all inclusive. This is listed in alphabetical order.
Acute Senses  1,940 (3.8%) (including all senses 10, smell 2, taste and touch 1)
Acute Hearing  841  (1.6%)
Acute Sight  1,086  (2.1%)
After Death Communication (ADC) 524 (1.0 %) A communication, while out of body, with a deceased relative or friend.
Accidental Vortex (or Violent) Projection (AVP)  2,839  (5.6%) An AVP is an OBE that is caused either by a traumatic experience or by drugs. An AVP is Not life threatening like a NDE.
Awake  412  The person in the OBE was neither asleep or in a dream and was not meditating.
Barrier  2,039  (4.0%) Usually an electrical or energy barrier. Many times a warning during a NDE that to cross a certain point means there is no return to the physical body.
Brain Wave Generator (or hemi-sync)  342
Confused  13,767  (27.3%) Person was (at some point) confused during his/her OBE.
Crystals  175
Deliberate  29,523  (58.6%) Deliberate projections into an OBE are either active (eg. The 'rollout' method) or are passive – aware that a projection into an OBE is imminent and simply allowing it to happen.
Dream>> To OBE  1,866 +  (3.7%) The OBE either begins as a dream, a lucid dream or a false awakening.

Dual Consciousness  440  The person was simultaneously conscious while in the OBE AND was conscious of either being in their physical body or of being in a dream.
Emotional  21,715 (43.1%) Extreme emotions like joy, elation, etc but not fear or confusion, which have their own categories.
Energy  5,535 (10.9%) Powerful superphysical or bio energies.
Eyewitness Physical World Event (EPWE)  1,565  (3.1%) (*Verified  489  (31.2%)) While out of body the person witnessed something happening in the (3 dimensional) physical world that he or she could not have seen from their physical body. (* Verified -- a second person later confirmed/verified what the person who was out of body had witnessed.)
Experiment  246   Usually a card verification test while OOB. Suceeded 34+ times. Failed 32+ times.
Fight  652  (1.2%) A violent confrontation while OOB.
Flight  10,820  (21.4%) Any levitation or floating outdoors.
Floated  23,292  (46.2%) Levitation inside a building.
