Title: OBE through sleep paralysis, and no vision of lying body
Post by: Alcateia on September 15, 2011, 13:02:31
I have read alot of experiences, and most refer to the vision of the sleeping body on the bed. I have only had 2 OBEs, and both were through sleep paralysis. The 1st time it happened naturally, as i gave myself up to the abyss during paralysis, it was beautiful, i was so exited that i didn't even look back at the bed, and just opened the door of my room and house, and flew off. The 2nd time i decided to push myself into the abyss during paralysis, as soon as i achieved leaving the body i decided to look back, and as i did, i didn't see myself lying down, what i did see was the presence (which i often see through paralysis, but in a total diffrent context) sitting in the corner of my bed. I freaked out, and my partner woke me due to the moaning he heard. Why didn't i see myself lying down? Is this the difference between OBE and AP?

I don't think there's any particular reason you didn't see yourself. Things aren't always as they appear in the physical once you get out into the RTZ. For instance, my house usually has different furniture, or doors that should be open are closed etc. Sometimes I think that maybe it's the way the house wad before we moved in, (an old lady died here who had lived all her life in our house). Anyway, sorry to be vague but I don't think there's any one reason for why things don't always look as they should. Some people on here describe it as reality fluctuations, but I don't really know why it is.
Maybe somebody will put me right, but I think that AP and OBE mean the same thing.
At least you seem to find it pretty easy, which is good. I've always had sleep paralysis as well, and have recently been able to use this to successfully project, we're pretty lucky. :-D

It took the best part of a year before I saw my physical body while projecting. It feels as if there is a reason for this but I dont know what it is.

Difference between obe and ap? AP means a projection to the astral. OBE can mean to the astral, etheric, or anywhere else. So yeah, maybe you were'nt in the etheric and thats why you didnt see your body. But maybe you were and theres another reason.

This is all theory, but as the physical/etheric "progresses" into the astral more variances are possible and probable. You were in the RTZ/etheric, but removed from the physical and hence, a certain degree of accuracy.

It's a great site, I don't think I would have made this much progress without it. It's also a good place to sound off without people thinking you're crazy!
