Hi

I have been trying to astral project for a couple of months now and haven't had any vibrations ..had one astral projection experience ( I was under the effects of a muscle relaxer...so it doesn't really count)
When I was a kid i had a couple of AP experiences where i remember waking up with intense vibrations for a couple of days. At that time they used to come and go unannounced and I used to wake up paralyzed and scared senseless..I didn't know what it is and I thought at the time that I was gonna die..I prayed every night for the vibrations to stop....Now after 7 or 8 years I am trying to AP but I have never had those vibrations again...I would like to have them..its just an easy indicator...

Could anyone suggest a way to have them again?

I appreciate all of those who read and especially those who could advise...

Thanks

They aren't needed. Easy indicator yes but they can be a distraction. Practice leaving when your feel it's time to leave.

Monroe's first book "Journeys Out Of The Body" has the only recorded method for achieving vibrations that I can recall, but it's a little geometrically confusing and he seems to have quickly left it behind, perhaps because he was such a "natural" anyway.

Like astraladdict says, don't get too hung up on it, it's a nice road sign, but ultimately not necessary. When I get the vibes, I'm always so excited, thinking I'm guaranteed an obe, but it doesn't always work out like I expect.

Try different techs and different times, like WBTB at 4am and go with the flow. It'll come when you are ready.

It's my belief that what Robert Monroe didn't realize is that the Vibrations aren't the key to projection... nor are they something that everyone will experience.
Don't aim for them as a goal... you will probably end up disappointed.

iMO, it's not that Monroe didn't realize some particular aspect of the applicability of vibrations; rather he left them behind, pretty quickly, as some distant image in his rear view mirror; maybe due to his inherent ability.

How about instead of going after what someone wrote and worshiping them, you go and seek the answers? That sounds a lot better.

Who's worshiping who?  O_o

In any case, yeah, one prime example of vibrations not being required is that eventually, it seems that as most people progress they tend to stop experience the vibrations.
Now, people have come up with several theories as to why that is... but meh... they're just that at the moment: Theories.
