Magnetic North = Easyer to project???

I don't project myself (yet), but you might like to know that Robert Bruce, too, says that facing North seems to help.  Only statistically, though.  He says that he has projected in every direction and on every day of the year, but certain things like direction, time of the lunar month etc have some sort of effect.

This is a very common prerequisite suggested by Robert Monroe and the Monroe Institute.  I remain skeptical of this particular advice.  I believe the key is learning to relax your body & mind and consciously focus on a technique which induces OBE.  However, I am open to the possibilities.. but also feel it is subjective, depending on the individual.  If you truly feel (or know) it works better with your head pointing north, then you should continue doing it that way.  Why this occurs for some and not others, who knows.  Perhaps your subconscious believes it 100%, or your energy aligns with the north in some fashion.

Personally, I lay with my head facing north anyway, because that's just where my bed is located.  Laying with my head north, feels more "natural" for me.  I'm not sure if this is related to some special magnetic phenomenon, but rather i'm used to it.  Humans are creatures of habit!

So in answer to your question.. do what works best for you.  I would try experimenting with it and seeing if it really does make a difference.  I seem to have problems with it.. so I just lay northward.  But I seriously doubt your brain is going to melt if you lay southward.  []

Just curious, I was reading over some of Monroe's writings and he says one should lay down with the head pointing to the north. Some of the results (according to him) in trials suggested 66.0% more likely hood of an OBE.

I'm just wondering if any of you believe this... It makes sense to me. I've read that having the south pole of a magnetic nears your brain can cause damage..

So to those that easly project do you lay down with your head pointing north?
