No. I know people who have had surgery and have still been able to AP regularly.  I do think surgery can cause blockages that might have some effect on OBEs but I believe practicing raising your energy can clear these blockages.  I had surgery several times and since practicing NEW I can feel these clearing and feel closer every day.  Try focusing some energy in the area of your appendix to help the healing process and heal your energy body if you think it may be affected.  Good luck!

I had surgery 4 weeks ago. General anesthetic, out for about an hour on checking the clock after.

Since then I have had a couple of failed spontaneous projections during the daytime. But before the Op I also had several failed spontaneous projections (which means vibrations, movement: limbs free, floating up a bit, but ultimately getting stuck and losing it). In otherwords no difference before or after, and no feeling that the Op has made things any harder than before.

On a side note, although like any sane person I was dreading the operation, I was looking forward to the opportunity for a 'free projection' I hoped the anesthetic might give me. Unfortunately I just blacked out and woke up after the Op [:P]

stephen~,

hehe, I've never had a "free ride" either! Nothing wrong with wishful thinking though!

Actually I was hoping I wouldn't get a 'free ride' so to speak because it'd be kind of freaky to see yourself getting cut open.  About focusing energies to heal yourself, how does that work because I've just begun trying to open chakras and that and I think I'm getting it right but I could use a bit more help please.  What's the best way to focus energies?

I have a question.  If you've had surgery, can you still OBE/AP because I've been absent from the message boards because I had my appendix removed and I'm curious to know if you have surgery or something like that, would your ability to AP/OBE be affected (though I haven't done it yet).  Would there be any danger because you're still healing and all that.

Just curious.
