Hello!

I'm really sorry for writing this topic. I know that many people are complaining they cannot experience oobe. I don't want to complain. I just want to ask you about a little clue or advice what to do; an answer what am I doing wrong.
I'm interested in OOBE since 2006 and from that time 99% of these experiences are spontaneous. I rarely experience – 1 OOBE every two, three months.

At first, I must confess that I really don't like the method called 4+1 (a few hours of sleeping and then up to 60 minutes of an activity to wake up my mind). So... I rarely do this technique. It's also because this technique doesn't seem to work.

I usually practice by day (I wish to experience OOBE at day, when my level of conscious and memory is high), often before sleep, sometimes at night and almost never at 5-7 AM (at this time there is a rush in my home). Yea, I know I'm doing this on the contrary :/ but I really believe that time isn't important... if you know exactly what to do.

Nevertheless, I think I may say that I often have no problems with relaxing my body and getting my mind still and focused. It's unimportant whether I lie on my back or just sit.
I try to get out of my body and to do this I clear my mind and immediately remove all incoming thoughts. It's not so hard. And here starts my problem. Nothing noticeable happens. I can lie/sit even 90 minutes. It's nice but leads me to nowhere. Of course, sometimes I feel some little sensations -  e. g. my body is getting numb (not always and not too much) and often after some time I get this annoying feeling which is trying to force me to move. I try to fight with this feeling, but still nothing happens. Further efforts are pointless.

What are my strategies to get out of body? There are 3 major:
1. I try to keep my mind awaken as long as I can – I can lay really long without effects...,
2. I try to go to sleep – and yes, finally I fall asleep,
3. I try to stay conscious while falling asleep – and... I don't fall asleep but I'm very close. I'm on the border. Unfortunately I even don't notice this state.

Since the beginning (my adventure with oobe) I always knew what to do while I finally was experiencing vibrations.
When I feel vibrations I intuitively know how to behave. I don't need any techniques/methods. I don't think, I just act.

My problem is how to reach these vibrations. I think that in my case they are important/necessary, they help me. Thanks to them I know that it's time to act.

That's all. Thank you for reading this :) I would appreciate every single advice.

Best wishes!

Hi,
You dont always get vibrations so dont expect them. Try for a short time only 25 mins and if nothing happens go to sleep. Expect nothing and you may get out from this.
You'll know the feeling when its easy to do conciously and if it isn't there you'll not do it.
Try some energy work that can help. You'll find good info in ASTRAL DYNAMICS book. Concious attempts only work well if it feels right. That swaying feeling...
You cant sail if the tide is out...
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

Also, I think is because your expecting this too much. You know how the mind works, expect something and that wouldn't happen. Expectations are thoughts as well, powerful thoughts. Even if you're not saying a a word in your mind, expectations are there.

What I do, is imagine my self as if I were out of body already. Let me explain; Have you ever day dreamed?, imagine your self somewhere else, doing something else than where your body is at the moment??. That is it.

For example, imagine your self as an astral body, getting up from your bed, going to the kitchen, cooking... Or driving your car, being at a revolt... anything that you enjoy, and that wouldn't get you bored. Try to feel everything with detail, the wind, noises, anything. If you like to do any sport, do it with your mind as well. What will happen, is that you will get very very sleepy while in that state, and will sometime swim back and forth from that little "story of yours" you've made, and start to shift into a dream, hearing some noises, seeing some things. Just go back to that story of yours.

You'll see what happens ;). And advice for you, do this "exercise" just for fun, do it by only doing it, try to experience this "imaginary" thing as BEST as you could, focus on it, don't try to do this to see what happens, just DO it meaning to do it, nothing but it.

Keep us posted!!
