Quieting the mind... What about rapid thoughts?

Does anybody else find it easier sometimes instead of quieting the mind... Actually think as much as you can? I keep it positive whatever it is I think about. I find myself often creating scenarios while attempting to go to sleep at night. If I get super involved in what I am creating, sometimes I actually stay awake enough to have sleep paralysis or other things start to happen. My body eventually goes to sleep because I am so involved in creating. Lets just say my imagination goes wild for about 30 minutes and I don't fall asleep in that amount of time... I find I almost always have a NPR experience when doing this. I also meditate and quiet the mind too, but I have learned that if you create almost like stories... In your head while laying down (especially napping) It's even better if you are extremely tired too... that it can also help me get into paralysis or what not.

Most of the time for me it seems like I have to hit paralysis to achieve a projection. This isn't the case all the time though sometimes I just appear in a new location immediately. Different everytime, same concept though... Just consciousness shifting. 

Here is what I do. It's simple really.

1.Get in bed if at night time to sleep, or a couch or whatever you use to meditate and get very relaxed. Stretch all your muscles and focus on everyone of them releasing any anxieties or negative thoughts. I like to see my thoughts push out my body as I flex each muscle and make a firm command those thoughts are to stay away from me. You know... You can get creative anything works.

2.Start creating a scenario. A story... Use your imagination. The more involved I get in them the more awake I seem to stay for when the paralysis or anything else starts up. Imagine all this in extreme detail. Don't worry if your thoughts shift rapidly creating something else this is a good thing. Sometimes I find myself with such an active mind I start jumping with my creations. Soon it will just be thought after thought after thought. Keep this up.

3.While doing this make sure the whole time to make affirmations of remember your projections etc... "I will remember all that I experience tonight" "I will have no fear and accept any experience that comes my way and cherish that experience" You know... You can use your own affirmations whatever works for you. The key here is to keep those thoughts in the back of your mind the whole time.

Most of the time I do this paralysis will hit. Then the fun begins! The great thing about this for me is that I stop focusing on my physical body because I am so in tune with my thoughts.

Have intent going in and don't be upset if this doesn't work for you. I just wanted to share this in case it may help someone out there. Also quieting the mind is essential! I work on both, and just experiment from there. Most importantly don't give up.
