Opening the Eyes

.I was starting to get my astral sight and one of my eyes opened up in my physical body.It messed it up for me.And I had to start over.Congrats on your 2nd!Maybe you werent as relaxed as you should be.This is what I think,why it happened to me.I was kinda tense.GOOD LUCK!

Yeh I was very excited, that might've caused it.  I haven't had an OBE since, but I just bought Astral Dynamics and now I'm hoping to get some better results after reading it.

You can also change the pattern of breathing in your physical body. If you hold your breath, you hold your breath. I have only actually experienced this in lucid dreams, but have read that it also applies to astral projection. It seems that the sleep paralysis is mainly from the neck down. That is why Stephen LaBerge (sp?) was able to prove his ability with lucid dreaming through previously arranged patterns of eye movements.

i have also had weird experiences with open eyes. One time i found myself looking at a scene in a dream, kind of a lucid dream then realilized that my eyes were open but my mind was still in a dream state. recently i did this again, saw a scene in a dream, tried to move but was not able, then came awake and realized what i was seeing was my wall, but rotated  90 degrees so  what was at the top of my head was up, even though i was laying sideways in bed. just a couple of nights ago i tried to see in a obe and opened my eyes. i think there is some state that is possible with eyes open, mind asleep because there is a lag between opening eyes and mind coming out of sleep.

I had my 2nd conscious OBE the other day and it made me wonder about astral eyes/physical  eyes.  I had been travelling up some stairs astrally but I couldnt see, so I decided to open my eyes.  A minute or so later when I re-enered my body my eyes were open in my body.  I didn't need to open them.  I've read from Robert Bruce that you don't need to open your eyes just say in your mind that you want to see.  But it seemed like I actually opened my physical eyes during the projection.

Anyone ever had this happen?
