I can't help you with a name, but how about the phillip glass compositions for the koyanosqui  movies. It has lots of repition , violins and voices. Have you heard any of the brian eno stuff-music for films, music for airports, apollo landing?

I have my CD collection organized based upon how useful they are to trance and OBE.  Isn't that funny?  I keep them in CD books.

So, I have my "working" book.  Gateway CDs, Theta Wave CDs, white noise, nature sounds, etc.

Then, I have my trance mood music - - - most of it is Celtic, because I'm of Celtic/Nordic/Germanic descent and the music just "fits" somehow.  Some of it is better than others.

Then I have my Celtic/modern/Arabic/Spanish/Whatever fusion music, some of it funky.  I keep my Dead Can Dance CD collection here.  Also good for a trancey mood.

Classical, movie soundtracks, holiday music - - - small collection.

Belly dance (major collection) - - - some of it good for trance dance

Rock music (maybe 6 CDs total) - - very small collection.

I can give you a list of my favorites - - - I just have to do it from home!

Why don't you check out the Monroe Institute's tape/CD collection under the category "Metamusic."  If you go into the online catalogue, you can listen to snippets of the music as well as reading about the uses of particular selections.  www.monroeinstitute.com.  I think you're likely to find some selections that resonate with you.  All contain the "Hemi-Synch" technology developed by Robert Monroe to facilitate particular states of consciousness.  In any case, some of the music is quite wonderful.  (And this from someone who is more comfortable with 16th century liturgical music or the "stylus phantansticus" of the 17th century than anything else!)

The above link is broken. I went into google and found one that worked:

It's not a .com site, it's a .org site

Sorry for the off topic post here but I'm trying to find some good music to relax to .. maybe even listen to this stuff while I do the NEW energy ways. It really relaxes me and takes me to a .. nice comfy place when I trance with it.

The music I'm downloading right now has a lot of  ooooohs  and ahhhhhhs like .. Chorus Oohs and Ahhs.

An example of it is .. The Changelings-Seasons of Mist.
Some others are .. pretty much all the Gregorian Chants songs.
The women that sing in the songs I like usually sing with high pitched voices and have a lot of violins and synthesizers(sp?). When the guys sing , they are lower and sort of create a background sound while the music plays.

If anyone knows what type of music this is .. whether it be , celtic music, Chants, Monk music, whatever please let me know so I can get some songs.  I love celtic music but I've never found many songs that have all the OOhs and Ahhs in them and I'de love to find more of it!

Thanks a boonch

I believe I can do anything. I believe I just have to learn more before I can make it happen.
