Phasing Problem... Scary Phases

I keep running into this problem. I will get to focus 12 and start to see images, scenes, etc. I start to do Xanth's mental rundowns. All of a sudden a scary figure will pop in my field of vision and scare me out of focus 12.

This morning it was this ET looking thing wearing a hood. In the past it has been a face full of maggots and some other weird stuff. I'm at the point where I wish I could just punch these images in the face. It is less of the fear than it is the shock value that messes me up.

I'm starting off my techniques using the Gateway Experience, Wave 1 - Discovery 6, so I am doing the resonant tuning and creating my resonant energy balloon.

What do you all make of this? I've got a pretty active imagination so I'm sure there is the possibility I am scaring myself. I am also reminded what Robert Bruce calls the 'dweller on the threshold.' Any input appreciated.

Send him PUL and give him a hug.

You could also try the Seeing-It-Not-There technique.

*cough* FRANK'S Mental Rundown *cough*  :)
It's certainly not my exercise, I just use it.  hehe

It's your perception of what's being shown.  Keep control over your thoughts when you see these things and don't let them scare you.

At the point of Focus 12, you ARE entirely scaring yourself.
I find that Phasing, and projection in general is about mastering yourself.

Wtf? That's exactly what I've been seeing..... In my initial phasing earlier today I saw maggot filled phases, beings in hoods, then I started seeing numerous "grey aliens". I hear they OFTEN visit the astral here on earth... and I'm kinda paranoid about them being in my room haha, oh well, Id like to see them do something if they are there.
(not to hijack your topic, but)
I a saw a circular alien spacecraft, a light coming from the bottom of it like a tractor beam... then I saw multiple grey aliens and such.... and it's odd because I haven't thought about grey aliens in over several months, so I didn't just start thinking of it.... and all this is only after 2 minutes of closing eyes, not clear images, but I could vaguely see them.

I felt I should post, because I thought it was weird we both see faces full of maggots and other terrifying images that are similar to that. :/.

They kind of startle me out of my phase focus by randomly popping up also.

Yea, easier said then done though.  I've been meditating regularly for about three years now. What techniques do you use to control thoughts?

Wow that's interesting.  :-o I'm pretty afraid of the Greys myself. Yet, recently I've started to view them as robotic and for some reason that makes them less scary. In a few dreams I have met "hybrids" and been to those words. According to a channeled being named Bashar, a hybrid race is going to be the first to make contact here on Earth - within the next few years.

Fear sucks. I guess all I can do is keep trying.

I've been meditating for roughly 15 years now.
It's just practice.  Anything hard is definitely worth doing.

The more control you have over your own thoughts, the less stuff like this will jump into your view while in deeper states of consciousness.

So how do "I" do it?  To tell you the truth, I don't really know anymore.  What you can do is just practice throughout the day... try not to react emotionally to situations.  Try to keep your emotions and thoughts in check at ALL times.  It's, literally, a skill that will help in more than just your Astral Projections.  ;)

Bruce Moen mentions it in at least one of his books(I've only read one).

If my memeory serves me correctly, he was doing mass retrievals in a bomb site. He found someone stuck in rubble but couldnt get them out of it. He was then either shown or remembered(I cant remember) the seeing it not there technique. It was basically to see the scene without the rubble, thereby making it disapear. Just picture what your seeing without the presence of the thing you dont like. It's easier said than done.

I totally agree with the PUL suggestion. When you encounter something scary give it some love.
