Physical or astral?

William Buhlman (author of "Adventures Beyond the Body") said that he often finds himself in the astral and has to have ways of testing to see if it is physical or not. If he can see better than he should be able to, such as outside at night, that is one of his tests. He said that it feels just like being in the physical body. As for reaching out and touching your physical body, I don't know. I have only read warnings against thinking about the physical body while out of it to avoid being pulled back in.

Greetings Good Hope,

While projecting in what is known as the "real time zone" (or RTZ for short), the projection is not in the material world but is rather an etheric projection into an etheric reflection of your physical surroundings. The etheric is actually an extension of the Astral, and the same laws apply more or less - hence so called "reality fluctuations, because thought equals effect.

So to answer your question - no, you cannot touch your own body or that of anyone else, but you can pass straight through it [:)]

With best regards,

Adrian.

for the longest time i thought that your astral body wasn't anything like your physical body and that all of the astral dimensions were mostly transparent.  this may be due to the back cover of ad where it looks like the projectable double is ghostlike.

i remember robert suggesting that it wouldn't be desirable to be that close to your physical body while out because it would start to pull you back in.  he suggest moving away from your body immediately after projecting.

if you were strong willed enough to try and touch your physical body while out, and could maintain your presence in the astral, you may actually feel exactly what you expected to feel due to how big a part your mind can influence the reality of the astral.

If I were outside of my body, do I feel the same things I feel when I am in my physical body? For fictional example: I exit out of my body, then I touch my physical body. Would I feel the flesh the way I would feel someone else's flesh when I am inside my physical body?
