Title: Playing Cards Experiment
Post by: bluemusic on April 01, 2014, 18:27:21
Hey,

The other day I did an experiment where I shuffled a deck of cards and left one face up on my desk without looking.  I went to my bed and tried to have an out of body experience, and it worked.  I managed to get to my desk while I was having the experience, and I saw the card as a 6 of clubs, but it looked really strange and altered, and not very clear.  For instance, the 6 looked like a 5, although the clubs were arranged in the "6 of clubs pattern" with the 6 symbols.  When I woke up from my nap it actually was a 6 of clubs on my desk, which was cool.

But when I did the same thing today and got to my desk, the card started off as a 3 of diamonds but then kept changing before my eyes into other cards, and then next thing I knew I was picking up objects in my room, which lead me to believe that this was a dream.  When I woke up the card was random and didn't match anything I saw.

Can I have some input on what was happening?  Can an OBE just turn into a dream?

I'm a stickler for that statement "dreaming about projection"...

Now, unless what you mean is that the SUBJECT of the dream was projection, for example, you were talking to a friend about astral projection. That, to me, is dreaming of projection.

But what most people I've spoken to about this subject mean is that they were aware they were dreaming, yet the experience still felt "strange" and "dreamlike" to them. First, you can't "dream about projection" in that manner. You're either aware that you're non-physical (projection) or you're not aware that you're non-physical (dream). <– also, this alludes to the idea that dreams aren't what we think they are, but that's a discussion for another time.

A lot of people, especially new people to Projection who don't have much or any experience, confuse "pre-projection sensations" with having a projection. Stuff like waking up or falling asleep with Vibrations and feeling a sense of separation in the same way that people meditating might have these sensations. You can experience them while meditating, while falling asleep or even while waking up. Unless you were explicitly in the non-physical AND aware that you were non-physical, then it's not a projection.

Now let's quickly address false awakenings.
A false awakening is a dream in which you believe you're PHYSICALLY awake and going about your business.
It IS a projection in which you think you're awake, yet you don't realize you're actually still in the non-physical.
It is a projection, in as much as a dream is a projection, however you're still unaware, but it's still a big step in the right direction.

Whatever it is, it's a great start nonetheless. Everything we experience are stepping stones to not only becoming more familiar with that state of consciousness, but it also means that if you keep at things, you'll eventually succeed!

Validations are difficult because of the so-called 'reality fluctuations', you get information from the physical but it mixes up and interferes with other planes/dimensions (astral, your subconscious thought forms, etc.).

I did it back then with help of me Higher Self, I just asked it to assist me to see the right card. So maybe it will help you if you ask your HS or maybe your guides for help to be shown the card. It worked for me.

PS: see my signature and the link there for a collection of all kinds of validations (including some card tests)

Card experiment and such never worked for me even thought my house looked almost the same there was always some minor changes, but two things that were always true in all my projections were :
Time if i project at night i find myself at night in the astral world and vice versa.
Space every time i leave my body i find myself always in the room where i slept.
But to be sure 100% of the results we need to do those experiments without knowing initially the time and space we are in i wish i could do this experiment but i need my brother to help me out i hope i will be able to do it in the next summer or maybe someone out there who is experienced enough in projecting can do it.

what i meant by those experiments is that we need to stop trying to match the small picture in our scientific experiences that is inconsistent most of the time and focus on the big picture that is consistent most of the time instead, why do we focus on the card and we forget about the table that hold that card and the room the house the neighborhood the town etc etc
