Alright I wanted you people just to go over my basic plan to induce an OBE. Please read over it and suggest anything or tell me if anything important is missing from it that will help induce an OBE. Its important I get it right and dont want to go through it over and over without success to find out i'm missing something vital.
K so from what I can gather its all about getting to 3 stages: Relaxation
Visualization
Vibrations
What I do is lie down on my bed on my back and relax (or try to). I tense and relax each muscle from my feet to the top of my body.
When I am totally relaxed I concentrate on imagining a scenario (visualization) of something which is symbolic of my desire to go somewhere ahead of me such as going up a steep hill to to top of a beautiful mountain.
Given this, then the vibrations should begin and from there I can exit.
I have only tried this once but not succeeded but I put that down to not bieng relaxed enough as my heart seemed to beat more than normal through anticipation.
So pls tell me what you think of this plan to induce an OBE. Tell me if theres anything wrong about it or if there is anything I am missing. Its important to me to get it right. Thankyou.
Pls give me feedback on this.
You essentially try to projet from a awake state and using visualizations. In my mind thats achievable only for the experienced or very talented. People usually somehow mystify the Vibrational state. Vibrations are caused by energy movement (thats a popular theory). If you in vibrations it doesn't necessarily men that you are ready for projection or are projecting. I never got an obe but i had LOTS of vibrations in my first attempts eventually they get weaker and weaker until they're gone. Thats because your energy body (the system in where energy flows) gets more "cleaned" so energy doesn't cause friction (vibrations) while moving.
So I would reorganize your system this way:
1) Relaxation
2) The Mind awake body asleep state: Its also called Focus10. read up http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_permanent_astral_topics/focus_10_mind_awakebody_asleep-t24783.0.htm
3) exit Method: use visualizations or any other exit techniques to exit your body
Thats how i understand it.
Plasma - The way you put it makes it sound easier than it is. Deep relaxation without falling asleep takes practice. Trance takes practice. Visualization is a skill that takes practice. Following it as "steps 1-2-3" is too concrete for a process with so many variables.
I'd start with relaxation. Teach yourself to get more and more relaxed and learn to enjoy it. I think a lot of people think they are relaxed, but are focusing on getting into mind awake/body asleep and aren't really very relaxed. Sometimes I just rest in deep relaxation because it feels so darn good. If you can do that, a good trance isn't too far off.
Once you get into a deep trance state, then an exit technique, like some sort of visualization or rundown, can be used.
edit: I think Stimpy just said basically the same thing
well yes i oversimplified things. As you said the challenge is to stay awake and focused thats what I'm working on Right now.
No, you did fine - I was referring to the original post. I typed that as you were typing yours out... saying the same thing... coincidence? :)
Now I understand :-) Maybe a coincidence or maybe not... who knows :-)
Plasma,
Wear loose clothing and make sure you are warm enough because as your body functions slow down, the room you are in may not be warm enough. Perhaps a light blanket. Keep repeating the relaxation techniques for every part of your body even your eyes and your mouth. You can mix up the areas out of order. This process usually takes me over an hour to perfect, to go numb in my body and very alert/hopeful in my mind. The key for me is a combo of deep, total relaxation and enough mental energy to compel my consciousness to float up and out of my body. To keep my mind empty but alert, I always try to listen to every sound at once until I am simply hearing noises and not focusing or thinking about any one in particular. Being excited is helpful if you can focus that energy in your mind so you will have a smooth transition up and away. Hope some of this helps.
