ya can a mod move this if this isn't in the right place? if it is in the wrong place sorry. anyways I gotta question bout some OBEs that I'm having. I really don't know about how to go bout explaining this but I know I am having out of body experiences in my sleep. recently I have been sort of "waking up" in my sleep. sounds weird right? I mean I've been completely consciously aware that I'm asleep all the while I feel like I'm sorta drifting, floating, and spinning all at the same time. now I've tried to achieve states like this before but I wasn't able to so I just gave up. and now I aint even trying and now it's happening really often. all this happens in my house I never leave my house. I can also walk through the walls in my house. but the thing is it never lasts long at all. and once again I know that I'm asleep when this happens. does anybody think that by any chance I'm having an OBE?
Sounds like you're lucid dreaming about OBE's to me. I've had a similar experience. I believe it's called a false awakening. A while ago I been trying then got some stupid fear and decided to quit trying. Of course, I dabbled in a whole heap of other stuff like auras, telepathy and chakra work. I ended up having a spontaneous OBE and several bouts of paralysis and a false awakening after dreaming of AP. It's got something to do with changing your consciousness and how you percieve reality. You've altered that by attempting to AP. It's nothing bad, you're just more 'tuned in' now. I got told to 'ground myself in mundane reality' and not think about AP/OBE at all though sometimes this doesn't work.
This is simply another step on the way but it's being made by your subconscious mind because obviously, you may still want to be able to project. Your subconscious knows and tries it where it can have the control.
Try and project again. You may have some success now. Then again, what techniques were you using and how far did you get?
I hope I've been of some help.

Sounds like classic out of body experiences to me.
In a lucid dream "about" an OBE you will wake up and know full well it was all a dream. A lucid dreamer us unlikely to dream about something so mundane as walking around their house.
QuoteIf you are fully awake but you know your body is asleep somewhere else then your not in your body ....
A good way to put it. I agree.
