Personally, I think you shouldnt worry about rights and wrongs with something like this. Follow your instincts, if it feels right, go with it! []
And dont forget to try out different techniques to see which ones work better for you.
I recomend going to the Astral Conciousness section of the forums for differt techs and tips.

It's a sign you're getting close. Keep at it.
When it happens it will be sooooo obvious. There will be no doubt of what's going on.
Even in the case of a spontaneous OBE remembered as a dream you will know the difference as it will be as real a memory as that of any experience in your life.

The biggest thing about knowing anything is having information.  Information leads to knowledge.

I read hundreds of posts on this forum before I ever posted my first post.  The funny thing is if you take the time to read all the posts, you will learn a great deal of information.

There are people all over this forum that are asking the same questions that three other people asked last month.  Take the time to read and learn and you will have more information and knowledge than many of the people that are asking the same everyday questions out there now.  

And perhaps you could become the next guru.[][]
