Progress?

Hey everyone,

I think I achieved some progress last night, but I'm feeling drained this morning.

Last night, I was trying to project.

I kept telling myself that my body was becoming lighter and lighter.

I did this for probably an hour and a half when I began to notice that my body had fallen asleep, but my mind was awake.

It almost felt like my mental half was on the left side of my body and the sleeping half was on the right.

However, after 2 hours of feeling like this, I simply opened my eyes and tried to go to sleep, which hasn't happened yet.  For some reason, I just couldn't go to sleep.

I am feeling drained.  Did I do something wrong or did I achieve the mind awake/body asleep state?

Funny that, i was just asking a similar question as i had been trying to project at least once a day for the past four days.

yesterday i was starting to feel quite tired not physically, but energetically, I get the same thing when i try to induce lucid dreams and stay awake for ages after i lay down to bed. i think cause i'm trying to induce a mind awake/body asleep state that i am confusing myself and part of me doesn't know what i am trying to do and i end up having trouble going to sleep when i want to sleep.

also feeling a bit frustrated trying to sleep after this? - if so let that go immediately, and make a firm decision that i'm giving up for the night and i'm going to get some good sleep. that simple decision will help!

I've been reading lately that maybe bed is not the best place to use for projection. try a sofa, lounge or chair so you keep your bed for sleeping and know that when you go to bed that sleeping (or other things   ) is what is happening.

also using another defined space for projection will also get your mind ready for projection when you use this space. apparently... i haven't got far into this myself...

try different times of the day to project, morning, afternoon, times that suit you when you won't confuse sleeping with mind awake/body asleep and you can till get some good sleep.

I know with LD's you're probably going to use your bed try to stay awake  because you are wanting to fall into a dream, but i suggest as soon as you get frustrated, energetically drained, tired etc on falling to sleep that you leave it and make the firm decision to get some sleep (it's only one night  - i've been trying to project for many months and only got one part projection) and try again another time.

Best wishes,

Dean
