Title: Projecting on an empty stomach...
Post by: Donna on November 12, 2002, 06:01:32
Hi Qui-Gon Jinn,
I had been instructed by the spiritual being who was aslo my teacher to fast at least two hours before attempting to leave my body. It was also explained that the raw vegetable and fruit diet was necessary to gain and keep my clarity during my out of body experiences. I questioned and doubted this often, now I have proved to mysef that this is true, and important.

I think most my OBE's have been with on an empty stomach. Since almost all of them happens in the morning. Well atleast almost empty. Saturday or Sunday mornings can be used for OBE's. If you dont work on those days, that is. Put your alarm clock on early like 7 or 8. Then wake up drink some water and go to bed. Try lying on your back (wich is important for OBE's). Then you have a pretty god chance at a spontanous OBE. Dont eat any breakfeast before, just drink water.

I'll repeat what I said in "Let's take the Astral by storm!" thread.

The only time I've had a conscious OBE is thru starvation! I fasted from food and drink all day, and before I laid down to go to bed, I poured a nice tall glass of cold water and left it on the kitchen table.

After going through my preparatory process in bed, I wanted that water so bad, my astral body beat my physical body to it. Of course, I was quite shocked when I figured out I couldn't pick up the glass.

This isn't the recommended means of attaining an OBE however. I'm all over phasing techniques, but just haven't succeeded yet.

I find it very difficult to project when I am starving. If I am hungry when I wake up in the morning I find it next to impossible to leave my body, or even meditate. The hunger is just too distracting for me. The same goes if I am thirsty. I find it best if I have eaten a light snack or meal 30 minutes to a few hours before. Likewise, if I have eaten a heavy snack or meal I find it difficult to project as well. I do not think I have ever projected right after eating anything, but at the same time I do not think I have ever tried. I usually do not feel like projecting right after eating anyway. I think being comfortable is the best thing, atleast for me. Do what works for you, but do not sacrafice your physical health just to have an astral projection. Going without food for a day is not going to hurt you, but you do need to stay hydrated so be sure to drink water. I do not think it would be wise for me personally to fast for a day. I usually feel light headed and sick if I do not eat atleast a few light meals throughout the day. So listen to your body and do what you think is right while trying to be reasonable.

Hi,
I usually TRY to have an OBE after school. This is good because I dont have anything to eat/drink for 3 and 3/4 hours. Half of the time I get distracted by the gurgling and squelching sounds in my belly. Like: eeeeeeerrrooooooyyyuuuuuooooooooooooo (like my sound affects there? ROFL

Cya,

I have been vegan (no meat or dairy products) for 5 years and found that that diet is extremely good for astral projection.

I've been a vegetarian for 10 years and it hasn't helped my OBE ability one bit!

Maybe it's the dairy that's bringing my vibrational level down.. Although, I'm mostly converted to soy these days...

In general I do not know how much being a vegan or vegatarian helps with projection. I have heard some say that it is the best diet for projecting, but I eat meat and I have projected. I am not sure if it does help or not but it does not seem to be a requirement to stop eating meat.

Yea, I agree, but meat takes more work to digest then vegetables, for the most part. Which would keep your physical digestive system engaged longer. But as long as you allow sufficient time for the digestion you should be fine.

It may be worth noting that in one of Monroes books (I can never remember, or maybe it was Rosalind McKnights book Cosmic Journeys) one of their helpers warned them that their current eating habits were detrimental to their OBE progress and suggested to them they should alter their diet. (Can anyone remember where this is?)

Take care

.. this one I am interrested in, but haven´t tried really, cause I seldom go for many hours without putting something in me mouth.
I have read/heard a few times about it, projecting on an empty stomach, that it can be very helpful....  I have tried a few times when only eating fruit for half a day, and indeed I found it easier to induce the vibrations than would be normal.  The few times I´ve tried on a full stomach, just after eating a big meal, I get nowhere, and that of course is logical, alot of energy going to the melting process etc.
Anyhow, I´m curoius if any of you guys (and girls) have had any experience with this, attempting projecting on an empty stomach - and with empty stomach I mean pretty much empty!´  If you have, what are your experiences with this?       Hey, perhaps some of of you even tried it during a fast?

.... Hope to hear from you, Qui-Gon....
