Since I  used to be totally innocent to the ways and teachings of astral projection, I  have been blown away by delving into other's accounts of astral projections and lucid dreams etc. I think that now that I have read so much, I have been thinking about some of my past "dreams" and I am wondering if i was unknowingly astral projecting? Just because I was uneducated about it, I was doing it unawares? For instance, one of my favorite, best "dreams" was me flying over a local lake, in full control. Could it have been "real" and not my imagination? Another awesome "dream" I had I was on another planet. I knew I was on another planet, but it seemed natural to be there, I didnt think, " hey, this is a dream"  it was so detailed, just "real"! The sky was lavender/purple with three different sized moons, jungle trees with alien creatures. I remember feeling like I belonged there, just part of it all. I climbed a vine covered cliff to a cave and just looked out marveling at the view. A tall thin man climbed in and looked at me like a " oh, you made it" little smile. I woke up back to this world, like, where am I?  That experience is what made me research lucid dreams and astral projections. I wonder if anyone has been to my purple sky planet... it was really cool there

In retrospect, when I discovered astral projection, I realized all my most memorable dreams were actually LDs of astral projections. Even one that was an OBE as a child. Neat phenomenon. That phasings are more memorable then regular dreams.

Or maybe it was the uniqueness of the experience that promoted me to store it in my memory. Who knows.

Sounds like a world I'd like to visit some day.

I've actually had a similar realization recently... the non-physical experiences I called "dreams" from my childhood seem mind blowing compared to even the most vivid projections I get these days. I figure they probably were projections without the lucidity attached.

Seriously, my childhood dreams were awesome! Imagine if we were given schooling in astral projection when we were imaginative, curious, open minded children! I think the crap we go through as we "grow up" damages our intuition and we have to rediscover our childlike minds again. I am blown away by the clarity some little children see the world, life, reality, etc. My older cousin told me I used to say mind blowing things to her when I was only 3 or 4. I had an "imaginary friend" named jerry i talked to (i have no memory of it darn it). But my cousin said one day she was playing classical music for me and I told her quite clearly for a toddler that jerry had taken me flying and I knew what our house looked like from the sky. She was only 14 so she was blown away, and kinda shushed me, told me not to tell anyone else. She told me this story when she was 26 and I was 16. She felt kind of sorry that she was a dumb teenager at the time because now as adults we are both spiritual open minded people. I can only imagine how far much farther along down the spiritual path I would be if some wise person had been there to talk with my 4 year old self! Ahhh welll. I still have a few misty dream fragments that have come back to me with meditation, so hopefully I can regain that clarity I had as a child. One remarkable experience  I do remember form toddlerhood is rubbing my eyes before bed and looking at the swirls of color and sparkles behind my eyelids... and when I opened my eyes, it was morning already! I clearly remember rubbing my eyes one moment in the dark and when I opened my eyes, there was my mom putting on mascara in the sunshine at the foot of the big bed we had to share in that tiny cabin. I remember sayin "did we sleep?" and my mom looked at me with her makeup in hand with a funny face "of course we slept!" I remember rubbing my eyes over and over during boring school and church, trying to "fast forward" like I did that one night! Never worked! Now I wonder what happened during those hours...
