I've never tried that, but I have noticed that the astral body can affect the pysical. In other words you probably tasted or sensed your energy body passing through your physical tounge. I was once attempting to project while my girlfriend was asleep next to me. She had half her body on top of mine with her arms around me. As I felt my astral arm separate and pass through her arm, her arm would twitch as if it was being stimulated by an electric current. I found it really interesting and tried it several more times and it happened each time. So if you were projecting and were still somewhat conscious of the physical, then your physical body probably sensed the energy of your astral body.

Oh yes, this sorta thing has happened to me, i once bitt my tounge, but i could not hurt it no matter how hard i tried, the mind does an amazing job recreating a "body".

So I wasn't quite clear. Did you stick your finger in your astral bodys mouth or in your physical bodys mouth?

a while back I astral projected and saw my 'astral hands' for the first time. remembering what other people said about being able to taste things  while projecting, I stuck my finger in my mouth and it tasted weird,..actually it wasn't so much a taste as it was a sensation. it felt like i put a 9v battery on my tounge..and the taste was kind of bitter. is this what I think it is? anyone else have this happen?[8]
