Title: Pysichic Self Defense
Post by: Pyro21 on April 26, 2009, 11:49:46
I've been reading about psychic self defense and I was wondering if anyone actually used it?

Some people find it necessary. Personally, I find that the like attracts like principle seems magnified as one becomes more aware. If you expect or seek out negative effects or if you put out negative energy you are likely to then also receive it in return. Same goes for positive energy and expectations. The system is beautifully elegant.

If you find yourself in a bad place simply end the experience and then meditate on it, there must be some reason why you ended up there.

On the level where one just start to explore these things, nothing can hurt you permanently.

I keep a bound angelic, holy water, a gaboon ebony wand, salt consecrated by a priest, dragons blood, and a knife by my bed (which I have a big copper wire wrapped around) at all times. But... that's probably going overboard for most people... but I sometimes tinker and places I shouldn't tinker, not with astral projection but other things.

I feel sorry for whoever lives in the house next.

The best psychic defense is to rid yourself of fear. Fear is the attractor and prey to energies that will make you uncomfortable. They can't hurt you, but only prey on your fear.

Conquer your fears and there will be nothing to fear and when there is nothing to fear, there is nothing to defend against.

That's right 90% of the time with most people... I've personally known people that have been killed (yes in real life) via dark magick. Sounds like something out of Harry Potter, I know -- and if I wasn't there in person I wouldn't believe it either.

Thinking happy thoughts only goes so far if you're dealing with the extreme... but you're probably right most people won't even need anything more than the former. And yes like attracts like, negs do feed off fear.

I believe in magick, but refuse to accept things as black or white, dark or light.

Same goes for good and evil. The point of spiritual progression is to transcend this kind of thinking so neither black or white, dark or light even exist anymore.

All things are but parts of the whole. This includes good and evil.
