Title: Q for those experienced
Post by: SkepticBoy on May 30, 2010, 10:23:13
So when your in the astral and kind of floating around as aware as now, how does your mental psyche actually take the reality of coming across something horrifying looking? I sometimes walk down the street and see people walk past me and think to myself now if I was approaching a triple headed demon or something and saw it in this clarity of everyday life (like in the astral) I think I would totally freak out!!

How do you people who are experienced deal with seeing things horrifying?

The first time something weird like that happened I had a brief moment of shock and panic.

But then I almost instantly felt calm and strong.  THe interaction even lasted a couple minutes and I just felt like I was in control, even if I wasn't.

First, it's important to know and more important to BELIEVE that "triple headed demons" don't exist anywhere except your imagination.  :)

In most cases, I believe they wouldn't.
I believe their protective sense of awareness would awaken them.

Yes but aren't the things you see in the astral just your perception of what is there? So could you not just change your perception of what you are seeing?

Love the teeth....lmao

After many initial shocks (and as you evolve so will your projections) I realized that no matter how scary or realistic anything was, you always wake up and find yourself to be ok.  Just like when you have nightmares.
This actually helped a lot.

It's more than that really...
It's not "just your perception of what is there"... because what is there is being created solely by your thoughts that you're thinking, and the emotions you're emitting.  So, closing those off to the reality around you will change things.

Hey Ryan....

But if what your seeing is upsetting you, could you not just will it away?

If you have that much control over your thoughts and emotions, yup.

if the need arises, i will count teeth, too;)

i can't stand spiders, but after thinking it over i discovered that the fact they are black makes them creepier to me. therefor i decided that i would change their color to snow white if i ever were confronted by one in any non-physical realm. shortly after that i had a dream that had a white spider in it, it wasn't at all creepy or scary. from now on, anything black gets changed to white -as long as i remember to do so- and any teeth will be changed to marshmallows before i count them;)

have not come across anything like that. But if I had I would probably think it was a great idea for a painting. I get most of my ideas for paintings in these states of being, whether it's something I see or an idea I'm thinking about while out of the body. Most of the time it's the basic idea of what I think about or witness. Soon I'll be painting literal scenes of exactly what I see or places I end up or as close to it as possible
