Post by: lovelorned on June 11, 2008, 20:18:23
Hmm..well I have been wanting to do this ever since I heard my buddys on another website talking about it..I tried meditating once and trying to astral project that way..I almost went...I felt my body going up and i saw this bright white lighttt...

then i scared myself back to bed..=/ :?

Does anyone have any suggestions about fear?

yeah thats well gonna help with his fear isn't it. you mug.

theres nothing to fear out there you can't be hurt, and if something scares you or shocks you then you will be automatically sucked back into your body. It's one of the defences your mind has whilst projecting. Don't fear it, enjoy the moment. The memories of my experiences still make me smile!! =)

Lovelorn,

There is nothing to fear but fear itself. You should just relax, why were you out of bed? bed is the best place from which to project

when in bed the mind is more likely to fall asleep along with the body, i find it better to attempt astral projection anywhere BUT in bed if i want a fully concious and controlled projection.. =)

still it's simple psychology. After years of sleeping in a bed your mind has conditioned itself to effectively shut down when you relax in your bed thus making it harder to stay in the focused state required for projection.

imagine the devil is waiting for you on the other side of your door.

this is actually great advice. I would only add to close your eyes and think that he just opened your door and is standing over you with a knife about to kill you.  :-)

the devil using a knife? thats what i call getting off easy =P

haha well then as an insomniac i name that condition the exception to the rule. But it's likely our friend here has relatively normal sleeping patterns without any conditions, if i'm wrong about that i laugh at myself! haha.

you know the best place i find to project? in a forest or a field on a bright sunny day on the grass...feels great!
