Hi Amber [:)]
You are correct in that spinning is a method recommended by Lucid Dream (LD) expert Stephan LeBarge to remain in a lucid dream longer. He also suggests spinning in a LD to change the dream scenery.
I don't know how to spin this to connect it to OBEs but there could well be a connection anyway. [8D]

Amber,

I have a hunch you are overdoing it. You are indulging yourself in some antics. Of course, you'll always find someone who'll convince you you're on the right track. But obviously you're not. Find someone in you're home town, a recognized master skilled in the procedure, and have him lead you into what you are trying to attain.

Greytraveller, thank you, I thought I had read that somewhere too, but I wasn't aware that it also helps you stay aware during the experience too. Good stuff.

mirador, I know you are in love with me and desperately need some attention. So, I am blowing kisses at you from cyberspace right now to ease some of your loneliness...[:X] Feel better now?

Must have been ideal conditions this morning, about 7am, I woke up for just a few minutes and then lay back down with the intent to project. Everything felt 'go', if that makes any sense. Anyways, I rolled over onto my right side, it was much more comfortable and when I got to the sleep paralysis part, I just rolled over, sat up and walked out, like nothing. But my focus wasn't 100%, so I ended up back in bed a second later, stretched my arms up and looked around the room. Then I had the strangest sensation that the room was spinning, not like when you are drunk, but like when you are a kid and twirling around with your arms flung out. Sheer joy. And I cultivated the spinning feeling until I found myself in a dream, in a bathroom, looking in the mirror and playing with the items on the sink top.

Anyone else do the whole 'spinning thing'? I think I remember someone telling me it was a valid technique to change dream scenarios or something. Also, if I can go from OBE to lucid...um, this may sound strange, but where am I exactly? Is it a matter of awareness and perception? Or are they actually two different 'places'.
