Title: Question For all the ones Who have OBE's
Post by: fURIX on November 10, 2002, 09:06:22
They are VERY real. Sometimes so real it acualy scares you. But the curiosity and exitement usually beats the fear. OBE's can differ in quality when it comes to vision and moving around (depends on energy). But I have no problem telling the difference between OBE's and lucid dreams. When I have a lucid dream, I just become aware that Im dreaming and then I can affect the dream with my awake mind. When I have an OBE there is always the projection exit-phase (falling and dark void) that wakes me up and when the exit-phase stops I get my vision and can start exploring. To me OBE's are also more limited.

Holy christ!  Allow me to regain some of my hearing back after you screamed your question in here!

Just kidding.  As fURIX mentioned, when you have an OBE, they can be more realistic than your everyday waking life.  Many times, I've gotten out of body, and still I doubted if I was awake or having an OBE.  It wasn't until I thrusted my hand through a wall that I was able to convince myself that I wasn't in my body.

Keep smiling,

you've touched on one there! is here any difference between the two?
If there is one then in my personal experience my one projection could have been either, i'm still not decided.

I've never had an OOBE / AP either, and it's very hard and frustrating in trying to achieve one. For me, it's a learning process. Although there are guides out there online, they all give generalistic methods which are heavily unspecific and devoid of any real means of addressing problems one could encounter. Hopefully, when I manage to become adept at AP, I'll write a guide for people who are going through the same type of thing as I am.

As I see it, these guides tell you what to do, but don't teach you how to do it correctly. It's like a math teacher throwing a mathematics formula at you, and saying, alright, get from point A, to point Z! Without any help at all! Since the paths everyone takes to get from these points are different, most people cannot relate well to the experience of the other person.
