How much is possible?

when you are in hte astral realm can you do something that would changean outcome in the "real"world? like at a younger age encouraging you to start playing guitar or something?
im quite new here so replies are appreciated

Hi there Ciaran. 

My theories here are based highly upon a fellow by the name of Frank.  He used to post here a lot, so you can look him up if you want.

Everything that happens in the physical world... thoughts, ideas, EVERYTHING... first exists in the Astral.
The Astral is the place our subconscious.  Now, the question of "Can the astral effect our physical life"?
Only in so much that you can put out the energy into the universe to have it effect change. 

I've always felt that was a form of "Magick".

So literally... the answer is no.
Figuratively... the answer is yes.

That's the general idea of "Magick", yes.
People do rituals and stuff like that for it.
However to give this a more astral projection spin to it... on the Astral you have a stronger connection to do this.

Don't be sad for being new to this. 
We were all there at one point.

If you have a good imagination/visualization... I'd try starting with Phasing.
